Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaParking garage entrance was far from the entrance to the building. Very little parking on the street. We parked on the sidewalk to load and unload our vehicle. The bed was very high off the ground and was difficult to get into, especially for my wife who is 5ft 3. (Yes really!)
The room was great. The staff seemed a little apathetic. Security was good, using codes to open doors and operate elevators got old but necessary for Security... Mostly College kids everywhere outside. Fun to watch. The metro station was within walking distance.

CanadaThe fact that we could not store our luggages in the available storage room in the building prior check-in time at 4:00 pm. We arrived in Washington early in the day and had to carry our luggage until check-in time. which was a bit inconvenient. Also, the Wi-Fi was unreliable during our stay.
The location is just great, close to all major attractions Washington has to offer. The accommodation was spacious and very clean. I will definitely rebook next time I will be visiting Washington.

United States of AmericaBeds could have been more comfortable, we practically sank in & I even woke up with a leg cramp one of the days. Also, it was never mentioned that 2 of the rooms would have single beds.
it was good for our group of 17. Spacious enough for us to gather in 1 room & also loved that Hulu was provided (boys were watching the masters all weekend).

United States of AmericaThey just used key codes to get into the building, use the elevator, and get into your room. You would have to enter a code three times to get to your room, and there were different codes for the lobby door and elevator and your room. Also there was a short supply of bed linens to use if using the sofa bed
Very nice new facilities. Good location close to Union Station. Large fitness center.

United States of AmericaAs others have noted, the mattresses could have been a bit thicker. A few extras for cooking (aluminium foil, a dish towel) would have been useful. Parking is expensive ($40/day), but it was convenient to have a parking garage with direct access to the building.
The apartment was a perfect fit for our family of 6 -- spacious, clean and conveniently located in the trendy, new NOMA district. The red-line Union Station and NoMa-Gaullaudet U stations were within a 10-minute walk, and there was a massive Harris Teeter about a five-minute walk from the apartment. We chose the hotel for its two-bedroom, two-bathroom layout and kitchen (essential for a big family). The unit also had a washer and dryer, and two large-screen TVs with streaming services. The kitchen had enough pots and pans and utensils for preparing basic meals, and plenty of drawer and closet space. We found the keyless entry easy and convenient enough to use, though we just typed in the codes manually and didn't download the app. I didn't venture out super late, but felt safe walking by myself at night to run to the grocery store and pick up pizza (at nearby Menomale).

United States of AmericaCheck in was confusing. The front desk person had no information about booking.com, and was sending everyone that was airbnb or other short term rentals to the 3rd floor. After re-reading the instructions, I eventually got the check in process. You are given a code to get into the building, and this code works for all public access points. Then you are given a code to enter your individual room. At first this was quite confusing, given the fact that there is a front desk (but only for the long term tenants). After asking them what to do, and being given information that was not correct, I re-read the instructions, and found the devices to input the PINs into. They do warn that the devices are sensitive, and prone to error. My mother in law, who is in her late 60s, had trouble with the devices. It is definitely optimized for remote management rather than tenant usability, but once we got the hang of it, it wasn't too much trouble. The only other thing is that the remote batteries were dead. We normally don't watch TV on vacation, but sometimes use the TV as a way to distract our young kids for a bit on vacation while we clean up or get ready to head out. I messaged the management team via booking.com, and while they responded the next day about escalating, nothing was done during our 2 overnight stays.
Global Luxury Suites was a great stay overall. We traveled as a family of 5 (2 parents, 1 grandparent, and 2 kids - 1 and 3 years old). The unit itself was beautiful. There was plenty of space, on site parking ($40/day), and a few different conveniences close by (liquor store, beer garden, cafes walking distance). It was a great value given everything in central DC was 200 sq feet or less, and this 2 bed 2 bath afforded us 900+ square feet, and a full kitchen. It seems half the building is apartments that are long term leases, and the other half are for short term rentals.

United States of AmericaGuests are required to use a 7-digit pin EVERYTIME they enter the main door of the building, use the elevator, and a different 7-digit pin for their own room. It was a painful process, and I wished they had provided us with key card instead.
The location is good, and the parking lot is close to the building. The whole living experience was quiet, which is ideal for my family with a little baby. I also appreciate that the room was spacious.

United States of AmericaI did not like the entry system. I never received any information about the Latch app other than that we needed to have it (no follow up email like the original said). The code worked fine, but would have been easier to type in if it was shorter (especially since the Latch app didn't serve us well).
Breakfast was fine, but the question makes it sound like maybe the residence provided breakfast? If so, we were not aware. The location was incredible, close to everything we needed and very friendly at night.
