Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyUpon arrival a deposit was taken, but I did not get any receipt or documentation on that,, That seemed a bit strange, but in the end I got the blocked amount not reduced on my credit card. The coffee and tea maker in the room did not work and even after complaining about it they did not change it :-(The headlight was not working, but was fixed after I complained. One of the heater in the room was in full power so it was about 27 degrees in the room and could hardly sleep. The heater is not adjustable by hand but I as well had to complain to get it fixed and turned off for the 2nd night. The floor of the room is not straignt so all things on the table fall off.
The area of the hotel seems a bit akward at frist but its very close to market street and all sights. So that is nice. A free breakfast is provided including sweet danish and apple pies. The room itself is really nice

SpainThe elevator did not smell very well and I found hair in the shower and one towel.
The bed was very comfortable and rooms very welcoming. Very silent. They clean and change your towels everyday. Receptionists are very nice. The neighborhood can be scary but it makes you face an important reality and it is safe.

United States of AmericaThis location is horrible. We decided to take a walk. And we're going to go to a few bars. And as we started to walk within a one mile radius. There was nothing but homeless people everywhere. And I'm talking about hundreds, just within a mile. They were going to the bathroom on the ground. There were feces everywhere on the sidewalk they were doing drugs. Right there, as you walked by, it was absolutely disgusting. We turned around, got in our car and drove to the pier to enjoy it down there. Where it is clean. So good hotel, nice and clean, but just don't plan on walking around there.
Great price, very clean and comfortable. Nice staff and security that watche's the vehicles.

NetherlandsThe neighborhood is bad! A lot of homeless people. Felt very sketchy. Also even worse, the room was not clean! We had hairs all over over the shower from the guests before us! Absolutely disgusting! The interior of the hotel overall was poorly, it could use a re-painting and the corridor was very smelly. Don’t go here people, it’s not worth it!
Nothing.

United States of AmericaI was waiting for a catch because it looked too good to be true and I will say the neighborhood in the area is not the best, especially after 7pm. The sidewalks are covered in homeless, their dogs, and a lot of yelling.
I liked the whole experience, check in was smooth, decor and furniture was very nice, the room was small but just like most old San Fransisco buildings and the price for it was great. The parking lot had a few spaces and it was watched by a security guard on the premises at all times which made me feel safer. Overall a great hotel for a quick trip.

United States of AmericaThe size of the bathroom was very small. We couldn't move around comfortably and bathe. There was no air vents in the bathroom. So, the smell was persisting.
The hotel location was great. Parking was free and available. They provided a complimentary coffee and pastries in the breakfast.

SpainSome external person accessed the Booking.com system and charged me extra for my stay. This got nothing to do with the hotel. It was a breach in Booking.com system. But Booking.com does not accept responsibilities. So be careful with reservations with booking.com.
The hotel is fantastic, exactly as shown in the pictures. Room and bathroom are clean. Bed comfortable. Many homeless gathered at dawn in Market st, but it's pretty safe to walk down.

AustriaI was staying 5 nights there and we changed 2 times the room. In the first one we did have a mouse in the room, the second one was very wetty and moldy and smelly. In the third one we didn’t have a proper shower. Broken shower head and the temperature from the water was maximum 23-25 degrees. We was to tired and also get unfortunate the flu on our trip, so we didn’t change to the fourth room. The area where’s the hotel, isn’t the best one in SF. All after 6pm. is already all full with fentanyl zombies. The „front office Manager“ isn’t also willing to compromise, so better don’t book this hotel and pay couple dollars more for a better hotel
The two ladies from the reception are very friendly and helpful, but you can’t make from waste a gold, and they did know that.

SwitzerlandThe rooms are cleaned but the overall maintenance of the building is not good. I was first in old part, most of the outlet where not working but worst was out of order heating system. After claim at the reception they gave a portable one but when turned on all the electrical power of my room crashed down. Next I moved to the other part (after the courtyard), heating was working but most outlets not. I had to charge my laptop in the bathroom… People are kind at the desk but nothing is really happening. No breakfast option in the area. I paid 1250$ for 4 nights, that was premium price. Overall not a good price for value.

United KingdomNo blinds on the bathroom, which also had no door. Meant that the sun woke me up in the morning Location can often have LOTS of homeless and addicts nearby, however there is really good security, plus a security guard out front at all time
Amazing value for money, and way cheaper than similar hotels. Room was very modern, with a great bathroom and shower. Minimal complaints about the hotel itself.
