Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandLiked the hotel a lot. Some advice though if lookng for quite - while the atrium space in the middle of the building is great for leaving light into the inner rooms, there is sometimes quite a lot of noise/echo in the space from early morning as people start to circulate. My advice would be to get a room that faces the street rather than the atrium as the city streets are quiter than the atrium space most of the time.
Location was really good - on the same block as the Metro Central station. Just a short walk from here to the Mall, National Monument and White House and a nice stoll (about 30 minutes) to the Capitol building or Lincoln Memorial (opposite ends of the Mall). Easy reach of the Capitol One Arena as well (Ice Hockey/Basketball/Concert venue) - about 10 minutes walk max.

United States of AmericaThe total price for 3 nights including valet parking was $2,000, so it was a little bit expensive.
The location was great, the hotel was beautiful, and the bed was extremely comfortable.

United States of AmericaUpon check in, I was asked if I wanted housekeeping during my stay. I paid $300/night, of course I want housekeeping? Their welcome sheet had some verbiage about not providing daily housekeeping to “be greener”. What an excuse to make money! This practice that started after COVID needs to go away, especially at this price point. On top of everything, after I requested the housekeeping, they never showed up. So as a matter of a fact, I did not get fresh towels or a made bed for my second night. Extremely disappointing.
The location was great, very close to two metro stations, restaurants, museums, etc. The lobby was very beautiful, the check in process was easy and the staff was very friendly.

United KingdomRoom was 1st floor and road facing, so slightly noisy.
Hotel was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially as we left a cell phone in the room after we'd dropped our key off, so helped us get back in the room at 5am

SingaporeNothing much. The breakfast restaurant staff keep annoying you to upgrade your breakfast options. They don't serve drinks and ignore your requests if you don't upgrade.
Location was excellent, just by the Metro Centre and near Chinatown/Fords theatre. Breakfast was good. It's a bit pricey, but worth every $$ spent.

United States of AmericaIt did not feel luxurious. They are redoing the rooms and we obviously had an old one. The lobby has no real style. They don’t have a lot of staff at the front desk. Check in was a long wait.
It was decent enough . Valet staff were nice.

United KingdomThe location, being so central can be noisy due to traffic, sirens, etc. (which I appreciate is not the hotel's fault). The room offered a coffee machine but no kettle for tea drinkers. However, bottled water was complimentary.
The Grand Hyatt is in an excellent location. Close to the metro, which is on the silver line straight to Dulles airport. It is also walking distance to the main museums, galleries and attractions of Washington. Room size was very generous compared to other hotels. Bed very comfortable. The staff were very good. I particularly liked that there was no additional 'holding deposit' charged to our credit card. It was good value, considering hotels in Washington are quite expensive.

United States of AmericaWhat I loved and liked about the hotel was easy access when arriving to valet parking, and very quick access to the inside of the grand lobby and the feeling of grandness when you walk in that you surrounded by very big pluses on that on my end really loved the look of Walking in to the lobby that was a great visual experience
Bed wasn’t that great. It was tilted with my feet raised up on my right side and tilted down towards my left, which created a pain in my sides. Not really happy with that set up don’t know if there was a malfunction with the bed nobody over saw it or looked at it for the price that we paid for staying there. The bed was not of the standard. I’m used to and what I expected from, the hotel explained this to the front desk, and there was no compensation towards me for any of those problems room 960

Beautiful lobby and friendly staff. Great location, steps away from dining and shopping. Short commute to landmarks and museums by car. Parking at the hotel was convenient. I was able to reserve the hotel parking online before arriving - which made it easy as I only had to scan a QR code at the entrance. Parking for two days at this hotel was about $60 - I found this fair as most places around had similar pricing, and the garage had an elevator that took us directly to the lobby. I also like that they have a Starbucks inside.

United States of AmericaParking was pricey if done through the hotel, was able to get cheaper parking in a garage across from the hotel that was very nice. Room was clean, but there were a few stains that caught my eye immediately, but I am a germaphobe so I am especially bothered by things like that. Layout of room was a bit weird, kinda a tight fit to get to the other side of bed. Bathroom didn't have a fan, so hot showers left a lot of steam in the bathroom. Last room issue was with the tv, was very slow software wise.
Good location, was within walking distance of many shops and to the Capital One Arena. The lobby of the hotel was beautiful, and having a Starbucks attached to the hotel was a great plus. Front desk employees were very friendly and welcoming. Mini fridge in room was a good size. Bed was comfortable to me, and liked the pillows, were very comfortable.
