I didn’t like that breakfast only went until 9am on the weekend. We got in very late the night before so were unable to make it to breakfast. The reason I booked this hotel over another one was because it had breakfast, so I was very disappointed.

I know this is a small thing for some people but the coffee machine was not great. Basically instant coffee with powdered creamer. The hot breakfast was available but not very good. Would be nice to have a nicer coffee machine that's available 24 -7 with hot tea as well. There was a couple cleanliness issues. There was a dirty mattress laying in the hallway when we stepped off the elevator and there was some mold in the stairway at the back entry. Even with this said we would definitely stay here again. The staff was great. It's obvious an effort was being made.

It's a very good value for the price. The one bedroom suite with a separate living room was a nice set up for us. The pool and hot tub are great and there is an adjacent patio which is a nice place to sit in the evening. Breakfast was included.

Just a little dated furniture, but still functional!

We never once had housekeeping service show up to our room without us asking for it and even then it showed up and someone was sleeping in our room and they left. We had to go to the front desk every day for towels poor service poor service.

The bathroom walls had some splatters in it, the toilet had some red liquid on the base, there was a sofa in the hallway and one of the front entrance door didn’t work.

The location was convenient, Old. Chicago was delicious, the breakfast was really good, front desk staff was very polite and helpful, the price was great.

Out dated, kitchen at the room we stayed in could use an upgrade. Also the sofa bed we got was not too comfortable.

For the prize: the rooms were comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection, the hot breakfast changed everyday. The coffee was amazing! The staff up front were very helpful and friendly.

You just could not beat the price!! We loved the spaciousness of our room. The room felt a bit more like a mini apartment. Enjoyed having a restaurant attached to the hotel.

I did not have a complimentary breakfast at all. The first morning, I was there. And the vending machine robbed me of at least $5 when trying to get. Help for that. There was nobody to locate to refund me in my money. So I was out the $5 due to their vending machines as well.

Access to the unit was a bit of a challenge due to major street repairs, but that's not the fault of the hotel and shouldn't be an issue after the work is complete.

Spacious rooms with kitchen area and fridge. With two private bedrooms, a couch, and three televisions, it would have been ideal for a family.

The property is older, but well-kept. The kitchens could use more utensils and dishes, but staff provided what might be needed on request. Bathrooms could use a makeover, but clean.

Large room. Two separate bedrooms with queen beds. Kitchen with full fridge. Several televisions. Quiet location overnight. Pleasant staff. Nearby restaurants.

We’ve stayed here several times when we’ve come to Ames, and no real complaints except that in the span of ten years that we’ve stayed there, there seems to be no upgrades/updates to the furnishings. Also, the bed was not very comfortable

The location is good and it’s nice to have the separate bedroom and living room areas.
