Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndonesiaBe prepared for a compact room No breakfast (similar hotels have one) Small corridors and thin wall OlD hotel construction I booked standard queen rm for 2 nights, but on the 1st night they gave me rm#403, queenbed, TV not android, no chair and table, cramped, unlike one in the pic. I made a complaint the next day and they gave me the std queen room as per the picture. Felt like being cheated for the 1st night. Dont stay in rm 403!
Location, many cafes, restaurants, groceries Reasonable price except weekends Bus stop in front of the hotel^s door New interior

CanadaNo coffee in the room (only on the first day), smell of people smoking on one day, and lack of a microwave. Not easy to get to via public transit from LaGuardia on first day - it's not far away, would only be 15 min drive, but need to make multiple transit connections turn it into a 1hr commute.
Location near food was good (grocery store and good cheap restaurants). Having a fridge was good too. Bus stop to subway was right outside. Multiple buses to choose from.

ItalyWhen we arrived, we found a dirty towel in the bathroom from a previous guest. Overall, the room was not very clean. The position of the hotel is really only suitable for flexible and easy-going people as it is quite far from Manhattan. The nearest subway can be reached by bus. In case you have a late flight and you would like the hotel to hold your luggage, they charge an additional 20$ fee.
The room was equipped with a coffee machine, mini-fridge, iron, hair-dryer, etc. The heater works fast to warm up the room, which is useful since the insulation of the windows is outdated and the cold air enters the room easily.

United KingdomBeing by the lifts, and the tiled floors there, means sound carries quite well. I wasn’t sure if they were guests or staff but you could hear quite clearly in room.
Great property and location. I selected primarily on price, proximity to La Guardia and parking. The staff were friendly and the rooms tidy and very comfortable. Typical American in-wall heater/air-con arrangement. Plus a fridge.

PolandThe only downside was the smell of cigarettes, which was a bit of a disappointment for non-smoking individuals like myself. However, overall, it was a great experience and I would still recommend it to others.
Grandview hotel had a great location with easy access to buses. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

United States of AmericaWe don't mind that the rooms are very small. We discovered on this trip that they are under new management. We hope the new management will keep the rates down and the quality at the level we've come to expect.
We always stay at the Grandview when in NYC. Very clean. Priced right. Free parking. Room has what we need and bed is comfortable. Security system in place and we feel like we're in a safe hotel.

United States of AmericaThe location was convenient. We could walk to restaurants, a grocery and a liquor store. The room was small, but we knew that when we booked it. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and it was quiet though there was a busy street nearby. It was good for an overnight stay between flights.

ItalyWiFi not always working and, in general, quiet slow A little far from the city centre (45 min) but well connected with subway line 7 and buses Bed a little small for two people but the man at the reception told us immediately about that; knowing that, I would have chosen a room with two separed beds at that point
Staff very friendly and welcoming Room really clean everywhere Comfortable bed Availability of keeping the luggage stored after check-out

Desk staff was helpful. Quiet, comfortable room. Just what I needed. Best part was the desk clerk who ran me down on the sidewalk to return a Metro pass that I had left with my room key. So nice when someone shows such care when I travel to the city!

RomaniaNot all the staff is English proficient, and we had some trouble with one guy understanding each other. Maybe for some might be a turn-off that you have to ask for room cleaning, but it wasn't a problem with us. The bed is not that big, but we had enough space. Being on the main street side, it does get noisy sometimes.
We liked the location. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. 2 stops away is the metro station and the center of some sort of "Chinatown" where you will find everything. 3 minutes walk away you also find supermarkets, restaurants, etc. The place is clean and has everything you might need (hairdryer, iron with a little table, a safe, fridge) We really loved the place and said that we would definitely return if ever in NYC again. The room is fairly big, with closets and enough storage room. The AC worked miracles.
