Pools not heated, hot tub out of service.

The 2 gentleman at check-in were extremely nice although one of them spoke very poor English. We stayed in the hot tub room which was awesome! The hotel itself though is extremely run down which seems to be the norm for Mackinaw City anymore. We've been coming every year for 5 years or so and we've seen the hotels decline more and more each year. They seem to all be owned by one or two people and they don't put any money back into the hotels they own. This property said there were 3 pools for use and 2 were indoors and one was outdoors. I'm not exactly sure how you consider them indoors when they are inside a glass room?? One was under construction so it was not usable, the other indoor pool is not heated and neither is the outdoor pool so they were very cold even in mid August and I can't do cold water. The hot tub was also out of order and there are no bathrooms so you know everyone is peeing in it because why would you want your hotel room carpet soaking wet?? If you don't mind run down and outdated then you'll be fine and we were. We had fun in the hot tub that was in our room and we had a place to lay down and close our eyes, yes it would have been better had the pools been heated.

I paid for what I thought was a queen room through priceline and it was a double 2 bed room. The coffee pot in room didn't work and you have to go 3 doors down to another hotel for the free breakfast.

Didn't like you had to go to another hotel for breakfast.

You could walk to the beach or to the shops. The washer and dryer was a plus and great price to do your laundry.

Several outlets did not work and with everyone having devices it was a bit of a hassle. Also the indoor pool was extremely hot, would have been nice to be able to open the sliding glass doors as two of us are supposed to try to stay out of the sun (cancer) and there was little to no shade around the outside pool

We stayed in the family room. It was great to have the bunk beds for the kids.

The beds were uncomfortable. The toliet was really low to the floor. There was very low water pressure in the shower.

They need to get updated on electrical plugs instead of using electrical strips. Seems like a hazard.

Overall it was a pleasant stay! The only thing we complain about is there was no water pressure in the shower, water coming out faucet was good but the shower was like a trickle.

Staff was friendly, very accommodating to letting us register early. Pools were clean, hot tub was down.

Only half a roll of TP in room. Hot tub pushed out cold water. Power went out so we had to switch rooms to a room that we couldn't use the hot tub. Hot tub by the indoor pool was out of order all four days. Probably will not go back to this facility again.

The area. Staff was nice. They tried their best to correct all problems.

Breakfast was at a separate location and not very well put together. The indoor pool wasn’t working and the outside one doesn’t seem to be kept up on.

3 people staying and 2 washcloths, 2 hand towels and only 1 bath towel. We did get delivered to our room the needed towels. We complained to each other about our mattress, just so uncomfortable! We would not return to stay here.

Terrible breakfast! Should have been ready at 7:00 and she just went over to get things ready after 7:00. Biscuits were so dried out they crumbled and the gravy was cold! Really waiting for our first cup of coffee. Coffee bad! Had to through everything out and go to Starbucks. Also, surely not sausage gravy for biscuits, just gravy! Very dissatisfied! I recommend eating off premises!

The breakfast was very minimal. Its location was fine. The problems with the room were an outlet wasn't secured to the wall, the light switch between the beds wasn't secure, the surge protector on the other side of the room didn't reach the floor causing the TV, lamp, and refrigerator to shut off. The beds hadn't been cleaned underneath. We didn't use the pools or hot tub, but all three needed cleaning.

Breakfast tasted good. Beds were comfortable. The location was fine. The exterior was very cute and presentable.
