There is only one (1) micro in the kitchen which is very little for so many guests. The guests need to hand wash their dishes which is very good. But it is impossible to get them clean especially if you used oil on your food, as there are only cold water. Physical laws says you need warm water to fully remove grease.

The atmosphere is very nice. The cleaning staff makes a very good job. The staff in the reception are very friendly and service minded. A lot of common areas exists, so you have plenty of space to sit and chat with other guests. The breakfast is good. I like that there are free dinner some nights, etc. The kitchen area is nice, but there are improvements that can be made. (See answer on my next question)

Staff was very helpful, they helped us to change rooms when we requested. They serve free breakfast which is a great plus. Bathrooms with showers are individual which is very convenient. They let us keep the bags during the day after checkout

Such a lovely hostel! The staff were lovely, there are good sized lockers for each guest (though you need to pay for a lock). There were lots of toilets on each floor, too.

I found it quite noisy not just from my roommates but from outside at night. my room was by an alleyway and there was constant noise. Not the Green Tortoises fault however there is a huge drug abuse problem in downtown Seattle which as a visitor from Europe I found quite shocking. Lots of low level crime associated with drug abuse.

Staff were great, especially Tony! Location is a very good, 20 min walk to King Street Train station. and several car rental places within a 10 min walk in case you wish to rent a car to go further afield.

There was weird noise from the pipes inside the wall. They appear when someone shower in the middle of the night or in the early morning, which was annoying.

The pillows were a bit too flat, and the door hinge to our room was very loud/squeaky, which made it hard not to disturb others who were sleeping late at night or early in the mornings.

Affordable, clean, and comfortable hostel. We were in a co-Ed room and felt safe and secure the whole time. Noise level from the street was surprisingly low, and each. Ink was equipped with ample outlets, a fan, a lamp, and privacy shades. Mattress was fairly comfortable, staff was super friendly, and the common spaces fostered connecting with other guests, but also had quiet spaces to read. Bathrooms were clean, convenient, and spacious. There were also some sort of community event happening each evening we were there, including free beer from the front desk one night.

All the stairs to climb up to the entrance with my suitcase😩😂. It wasn't that bad though, but something to keep in mind if stairs aren't your thing. There is no elevator. The light at my bed was out so I couldn't use that. Everything else was great!

My friend booked the hostel so I booked it for my one night before she arrived out of convenience. Didn't look it up or anything, but was very impressed! The location is perfect, right next to Pike Place Market, and walking distance from public transportation (bus and train) and car rental companies. Fun events for guests like ice cream social or pub crawl. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Lots of common area space to study, hang out, work, eat. Huge kitchen with all the amenities. The rooms were spacious and I liked that they had a sink! There were a ton of bathrooms, and they were clean with nice showers. The luggage storage under the bed was HUGE! It fit my mid-sized suitcase. Definitely take your own locks though and a small microfiber towel if you don't want to rent!
