Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe hotel is fantastic. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool (which is located on the first usable floor of the hotel - the 8th floor) is quiet and private. The staff overseeing the pool are friendly and helpful. We found free space / sunbeds each time we ventured to the pool, so it never felt overcrowded, and unlike other hotels where you can walk in off the street, access to the pool requires a hotel key / pass. We stayed in the Ocean King which had a nice view of the ocean, partially obstructed by the Sheraton on the eastern side (which wasn’t an issue). It was convenient to be able to charge food and beverages from the Halekulani restaurants to our room at the Halepuna. Towels are given to guests in a small duffle bag which can double up as a big to carry items to the beach in. Overall would recommend and would come back

United States of AmericaNothing. This hotel is understated and low key. It might not be the best for kids as it does not really cater to them. Has more of an adult/sophisticated vibe. Note: we do not have kids.
We love this hotel. It is beautifully designed with generously sized rooms. It has a great pool, great fitness facility, and fantastic staff...special shout out to the pool team and the folks at the bell desk (best ever).

AustraliaWhilst we well understand that check in is advertised as 3,00pm, interestingly we arrived at the Hotel at 2.40pm to be advised our room was not yet available. It made me wonder if the Hotel was strict on its check in policy & considered 2.40pm too early to check in even if the room was available thus asking the guests to wait till 3.00pm. OR was the room genuinely not available and still being cleaned between 2.40pm and 3.00pm?
Friendly courteous staff from Reception to Housekeepers Hotel has a peaceful ambiance that was valued. Not a foyer full of noise and chaos as some other well known Honolulu hotels. Excellent location & a wonderful bakery next door with fresh produce & excellent coffee. Housekeeping of a high standard

United States of AmericaWhile very clean, streamlined, and efficient, I can't say there was anything particularly memorable about staying here. The location was good and it served it's purpose of simply being a clean, reliable place to sleep.
I know this hotel has great reviews but I thought it was only OK. Nice, minimalist decor but it also feels a little generic and lacked atmosphere. Had a slightly upscale feel to it which was nice.

RomaniaThis hotel is expensive, very expensive, but the room is so clean and the facilities amazing that I really felt it was worth it. If you are someone, like myself, who likes extreme cleanliness, I would say this is for you. Location is central, in the heart of Waikiki, so you can walk easily to the beach, if you are a beach person. All in all, if I'll ever come back to Hawaii, this is def the place I would stay again.

United KingdomEase of access to the main section of beach was the only sore point, but nothing a short walk couldn't fix.
Very clean and modern with nice technology touches to help use the room with ease. Nicely located in the Waikiki area.

United KingdomExcellently located, and loved that it felt more private than some of the other high end accommodation options. We noticed a lot of events at other hotels where you’d pass their hotel pool, whereas ours was completely private. Quiet rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, everything was great.

United States of AmericaThe short easy walk to beach needs some landscaping.
Exceptional price for location and peaceful hotel. Beautiful room with balcony and ocean view. It was nice to walk over to the sister hotel, The Halekulani, and be able to use our room charge for food and services there. Every night live music. Around the corner walk to couture shopping, ABC store, The Royal Hawaiian Hotel, Waikiki surfing, restaurants (Duke's and Noi).

AustraliaWe didn't enjoy breakfast at the hotel and didn't think it was value for money. I thought it was 'penny pinching' to offer juice OR tea or coffee. In fact a little rude for the waitress to take away the coffee cups once the orange juice was poured. (No offence to the waitress). We had the $45 pp set menu - ordered yogurt to start then bacon and eggs only to find the bacon was not included and cost a further $18 to the already $90 + Disappointing.
The well appointed rooms - everything we needed. Loved the bidet and heated toilet seat. Also loved the automated sheer and blackout blinds, the air conditioner which we could operate individually, the lighting, the phone charging facility - all modern, streamline and cleverly done. The room was cleaned the moment we left for breakfast and was spotless. Thank you Cel. Although we didn't swim the pool area was lovely. We enjoyed the time spent (lunch and cocktails) at the Halekulani across the road. Such a beautiful setting.

United States of AmericaThe beach is at the end of Waikiki and small. FYI - Ala Moana Beach, Park, and Shopping Center is not within walking distance.
The room had remote control sheer and black-out curtains. At the door and night stand, one can turn on and off any of the lights in the room. The AC works off a thermostat and is not a window unit. Your room key works in and out of the parking structure. The rooms have a Juliet balcony. The windows are floor to ceiling. This location is easy to drive out of Waikiki.

United States of AmericaCan't think of anything I didn't like. Room was pricey with a view of the top of a parking deck but this is a minor quibble.
Excellent location in Waikiki, with access to the beach just from across the street. Room was exceptionally quiet and perfect place to rest after a day sightseeing. Nice pool with chairs and cabanas and attentive staff.
