Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was not cleaned while we were there for 3 nights. It would have been nice if they picked up the garbage and filled the paper products. We ran out of Kleenex but got more from front desk.

Only negative thing, and its cosmetic, was a small part of wallpaper was lifting in the bathroom. Which was likely just because it’s a high humidity area, and the water is hot, unlike most hotels, so the steam is probably to cause for the lifting.
Lovely room, made a special request for candy to be in the room for stress eating before my Nursing Boards, which they accommodated with no extra cost. Water was hot even on the 3rd floor. Beds very comfortable, staff friendly and go above and beyond when you have requests!

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like about the hotel.
Centrally located and convenient to everything I needed to do. The La Palapas Mexican restaurant next to the hotel was fantastic!

Decor needs updating. Thought that all the cleaning trollies should have been moved away from the rooms but they were there permanently during our stay

Ran out of their delicious cookies on second night. Otherwise all was expected.
Perfect location for a pass through stop to another location. Right off the highway, close to restaurants and gas station. Clean, quiet, safe, friendly staff.

Very clean ... awesome breakfast, which included... Eggs, bacon or sausage, yogurt, different cereal choices, oat meal , boilded eggs, muffins, danishes, waffels, coffee and juices. friendly staff.. They clean this place on a regular, kept up with the rugs in the entire place to keep the salt and sand from the winter off the floors .. not many places I have been to do this .. we were very impressed with this place for sure !

Elevator was down, which wasn’t a deal breaker for us but I did wonder how those who couldn’t climb the stairs would have made it to their room. Might have been helpful to know when booking. Suggest that staff round a bit as it gets late. We had a group of loud men (hockey dads) outside of our room for hours past midnight and no one else seemed to notice. As a single female adult it was an uncomfortable situation because I didn’t want it to be clear I had been the one to complain.
Great location! Price was right and we found accommodations to be fine. Not fancy, but just enough. If you love waffles, you’ll love the breakfast. It’s a little bare bones but was enough to hold us off until a later brunch. We will be back.

Beds were not comfortable. Mattresses hard and linen thin and scratchy. Heat / AC until hard to manage temp in room. Either super hot or super cold. We were traveling in winter, so wanted heat but when put on made the room very hot.
It was clean and easily accessible. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly.

This hotel is located in a busy hub area with lots of shops and restaurants near by. The beds are always comfortable and the rooms are clean. Staff is friendly and the warm cookies in the evening are a hit.

Location was right off the highway close to food, shopping. But the best part of all was the incredible breakfast that was available for free that was not just muffins and Danish.
