To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaHad a dog in a room nearby (upstairs) bark for a good 5 minutes at 6am the final morning of our stay. Bed wasn't as comfortable as ones we've experienced at similar price-tiered hotels. What fool decided that the TV should NOT be in direct line with the bed, head-to-foot...but instead should be at a 45 degree angle from anyone in bed?
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was immaculately clean!!

Everything! Staff was most gracious. Hotel was very clean! Complimentary breakfast was the best of any Hampton Inn's I've been to with more variety as well. And the rates were completely reasonable. I will stay there again when in Springfield and highly suggest you do too!

When we asked for clean towels at the front desk in the morning before we left for the day, there were still not clean towels in our room in the evening when we got back. The staff at the front desk was always helpful when we went back down later to ask for more towels.
Breakfast was really good. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly.
