Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No housekeeping, no beds made, no bins emptied. Carpets looked very dirty. Sofa bed seats were marked and stained. Not pleasant to sit on.

Facilities and amenities were quite dated for the price of a stay
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also the location by Riverside in the theatre district is amazing

The room wasn’t cleaned well the bathroom had a bloody towel in it. Didn’t have housekeeping come clean it. Had to change rooms anyway because there was no heat in room. Breakfast was horrible no microwave in room or floors.

We booked the hotel months in advance specifically because it had a pool for the kids to swim in on spring break. Then we got there and the pool was being renovated. The rooms were dimly lit and not in the best shape. The shower took about 20 minutes to warm up.
The hotel was in a great location. There was alot of stuff for our family to do right in that area and everything was within walking distance. The staff for the weekend was exceptional. There was a guy in the morning and another one in the evening.

The room was hot and stuffy. We called for a plunger and no one came to our room. We ended up taking one out of the guest bathroom across the hall. My husband knows plumbing and was able to stop the water luckily. I also was not aware of the parking situation as we are from the country basically. We had to walk two blocks with our luggage which was not ideal.

Staff wasn't very friendly. Room was dirty. Smelt like pot all night long. We traveled and picked this hotel and was very disappointed.

Good location if you travel by bus or train. The room was a bit dirty, we found garbage in the bathroom and it seemed to be used. The breakfast was good.

The pool is never open when we stay there. No hairdryer in the room. Room is outdated. Towel rack too close to tub/shower ( we both hit our head on it getting out of shower)

The whole place needs remodeled no room daily service. No parking for motorcycle. No place to gather with friends or a drink in the evening. No staff at the place seemed to be friendly. Rooms were either cold or hot no adjusting thermostat
Breakfast was terrible. Eggs were fake bacon was almost not real. We ate there 1 out of 3 nights

It was nice we got to check in 30 minutes earlier but wasn’t expecting a double bed when I booked a king size. The sanitizer machines in the lobby must’ve ran out of sanatizer due to high traffic volume
Location of the hotel was perfect for my stay. It was walking distance of everywhere I went that weekend. Definitely got my steps in! The breakfast was a great addition to my stay that filled my hungry belly.

Understandably it’s an older hotel but for the price the upgrade’s they’ve done is poor craftsmanship. We couldn’t check in at designated time but the staff was apologetic for it.

The air conditioning was out; the parking lot pay stations were not working; the breakfast was horrible.
Location was great. Within walking distance of the show we were in town to see. The woman at the desk was very nice, but they needed two more people working.

The only bad thing was when we checked into our room the bathroom hadn't been cleaned it was very gross. The sink had toothpaste spit in it and other things that people spit up from their throat stuck to the sink and the toilet had pee splattered all over it the bathtub wasn't clean there was hair all over everything .
My friends and I went to a concert and it was nice that we could walk. the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was awesome!
