Shower floor was very slippery. The tv wouldn’t work. Maintenance came and fixed it but later the remote stopped working.

Cold breakfast, but I found a microwave

It seemed like I was the first person to stay in the room. Like brand new. Very clean and comfortable. The weather was lousy but I was comfortable and slept great. The complimentary breakfast was good with a lot of variety. The only issue i had was that the food was cold. It took me minute to find the microwave in the wine bar behind the front desk. Problem solved. Food was great.

The little store could have had more variety of snacks. The WiFi was challenging as it only worked with a special code not with the instructions provided.

The staff was helpful and compassionate. We were there so my husband could have a medical procedure and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. They even provided first aid supplies when I cut my finger.

Couple of wobbly tables in the breakfast area.

Room was bright and modern. Couldn’t hear any traffic despite close to motorway and Starbucks. Pool was warm and clean. The lobby looked brand new and modern.

For some reason whenever we would wash our hands, or when we showered, it seemed like we could not get the soap out of our hands. I don't know if it was something in the water filtration system, but it just seemed odd. We did have to park in the back of the hotel when we first arrived, due to the front parking being full. They was some sort of soccer and wrestling tournaments going on, which was understandable. Since we parked in the back, the easiest access to the elevator was walking thru the indoor pool area. We opted to use one of the side entrances, due to several people being in the pool when we arrived. It was really awkward peeking in there looking for the back entrance to the hotel. I feel like it's not very convenient having people walk through the pool area to enter and exit the hotel. Especially if you have someone slip and fall that is just trying to get settled in, or checking out of the hotel, that won't be very fun. One of the card readers to access the pool area from the outside did not work too well. It seemed to have been tampered with because it didn't have the cover on. You had to try a couple of types to unlock the door with the card because it would not unlock it right away.

The hotel has a GREAT location. It is right off of the Freeway. You could easily head to Santa Cruz or Monterey for the day. They have a lot of options for breakfast which was really nice. They offered egg omelet, sausage, potatoes, toast, bagels, 2 different typed of waffles. They also offered oatmeal, 3 types of juice plus milk, plus on our 2nd day, they had biscuits and gravy. I requested extra towels on our 2nd day and they dropped them off ASAP. The Housekeeping and Cleaning staff was very friendly. The room was very clean and put together nicely when we got there. There is also a new Starbucks in front of the hotel and an AM/PM gas station next to the hotel, so you have access to coffee, gas and snacks which is very convenient. The beach is literally down the street, but we were in town for a family gathering and didn't get to visit, plus it was raining during our 2 day stay at the hotel.

The windows leaked and the rain was getting in and you could hear it all night. The AC unit made a funny noise but having it off was too hot.

Check-in staff was not super helpful. Also, we were placed next to an adjoining room where tile work was being done and could hear banging. Not much in the way of services around.
