Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe staff could be a little friendlier.
The property was downtown and close to the arena. Centrally located and the parking garage seemed secure and very convenient. It was unexpected but very much appreciated. Breakfast was really good but they could use a couple more waffle makers. Only two and the hotel seemed pretty full so there was a wait to make waffles. The room was clean and very comfortable but the hallways needed some attention. Overall this hotel was a pleasant stay for a weekend in Tucson. We would stay there again. We actually stayed two nights.

United States of AmericaThe gate to the parking garage did not open easily with the room key and we had to call for help each time we drove in or out of the garage. I watched other guests have the same issue. Front desk staff on the weekend was business like but not particularly friendly so I dreaded each time we had to ask for help. I felt their parking fees could have been more transparent. The guest ahead of us was billed $75 for one night of on street parking. It's $20 a night to park in the garage. The front desk person did not offer him this option. I opted for the courtyard view for our room. We were on the the third floor and while we did have a view of the cathedral and the mountains we also were on the same level as the outdoor terrace and needed to keep our shades drawn for privacy. So much for the view!!
This hotel is convenient to downtown and the historic section of Tucson. It's just across the street from St Augustine Cathedral and a short walk to Congress Street.. Congress Street has a few full service restaurants, several ice cream shops and bars. We took a walking tour of the city while there and it started just a few blocks from the hotel. The facility itself is immaculate. Several reviews mentioned the breakfast and it was very good and had many options. The hostess at breakfast was especially friendly and pleasant as was Lupita at the front desk.

United States of AmericaThe lighting in the room was too dark, not enough light light & if you opened the curtain you were staring at a brick wall & didn't let much light in. The girl at the front desk needs some people skill training. She was hateful, snob. They charge $20 a night for parking, wasn't listed on booking. Should be mentioned in room price.
The facilities were very nice & clean. The beds were comfortable & the room was large.

United States of AmericaMy check in was quite abrupt without the usual "welcome to..." and lacking the speech on what they offer. I noticed the other clerks throughout my stay were doing those things so maybe the young man that checked me in was still undergoing training. The weather didn't cooperate so I didn't choose to use the pool. I dislike those little creamer containers for coffee and wish they had some pitchers.
We generally like staying at Hampton Inns because of their value to comfort ratio. This facility is quite new and everything I encountered was in great repair. My room with a king bed was spacious and equipped with a microwave, mini refrigerator and a large flat screen TV that allowed Netflix and included Showtime and HBO. The bed was comfy and gave me a good night's sleep. The bathroom was roomy and I finally saw a use of "barn styled sliding doors" as an interior feature that I actually liked. The complimentary breakfast had a nice seating arrangement being spacious and with various seating configurations. The food choices are basic but well thought out: some nice baked goods, several hot selections, yogurts, acceptable coffee choices and teas, juices plus self-make waffles. Along with its location close to Tucson's downtown area made my stay very satisfying.

United States of AmericaThis wasn’t t due to any fault of the hotel, but there was a loud outdoor concert a few blocks away and the thumping of the bass was very loud and disruptive. Luckily it ended by 11. Wish I had known this

United States of AmericaThe only thing I didn’t love is that they were playing Fox News on the TV in the breakfast room everyday. I would have preferred local news or a non-news channel like ESPN, Food Network, etc.
Clean, modern rooms. Decent breakfast. Good location downtown (close to the freeway, walking distance to restaurants). Good amenities including a pool, gym, and smart TV. Excellent stay overall!
