The staff could be a little friendlier.

The property was downtown and close to the arena. Centrally located and the parking garage seemed secure and very convenient. It was unexpected but very much appreciated. Breakfast was really good but they could use a couple more waffle makers. Only two and the hotel seemed pretty full so there was a wait to make waffles. The room was clean and very comfortable but the hallways needed some attention. Overall this hotel was a pleasant stay for a weekend in Tucson. We would stay there again. We actually stayed two nights.

The gate to the parking garage did not open easily with the room key and we had to call for help each time we drove in or out of the garage. I watched other guests have the same issue. Front desk staff on the weekend was business like but not particularly friendly so I dreaded each time we had to ask for help. I felt their parking fees could have been more transparent. The guest ahead of us was billed $75 for one night of on street parking. It's $20 a night to park in the garage. The front desk person did not offer him this option. I opted for the courtyard view for our room. We were on the the third floor and while we did have a view of the cathedral and the mountains we also were on the same level as the outdoor terrace and needed to keep our shades drawn for privacy. So much for the view!!

This hotel is convenient to downtown and the historic section of Tucson. It's just across the street from St Augustine Cathedral and a short walk to Congress Street.. Congress Street has a few full service restaurants, several ice cream shops and bars. We took a walking tour of the city while there and it started just a few blocks from the hotel. The facility itself is immaculate. Several reviews mentioned the breakfast and it was very good and had many options. The hostess at breakfast was especially friendly and pleasant as was Lupita at the front desk.

The lighting in the room was too dark, not enough light light & if you opened the curtain you were staring at a brick wall & didn't let much light in. The girl at the front desk needs some people skill training. She was hateful, snob. They charge $20 a night for parking, wasn't listed on booking. Should be mentioned in room price.

The facilities were very nice & clean. The beds were comfortable & the room was large.

Paying $20 for parking. Instead of advertising parking available, add it to the advertised rate or clearly state it’s $20 plus the room rate.

A great place to stay in downtown Tucson

My check in was quite abrupt without the usual "welcome to..." and lacking the speech on what they offer. I noticed the other clerks throughout my stay were doing those things so maybe the young man that checked me in was still undergoing training. The weather didn't cooperate so I didn't choose to use the pool. I dislike those little creamer containers for coffee and wish they had some pitchers.

We generally like staying at Hampton Inns because of their value to comfort ratio. This facility is quite new and everything I encountered was in great repair. My room with a king bed was spacious and equipped with a microwave, mini refrigerator and a large flat screen TV that allowed Netflix and included Showtime and HBO. The bed was comfy and gave me a good night's sleep. The bathroom was roomy and I finally saw a use of "barn styled sliding doors" as an interior feature that I actually liked. The complimentary breakfast had a nice seating arrangement being spacious and with various seating configurations. The food choices are basic but well thought out: some nice baked goods, several hot selections, yogurts, acceptable coffee choices and teas, juices plus self-make waffles. Along with its location close to Tucson's downtown area made my stay very satisfying.

This wasn’t t due to any fault of the hotel, but there was a loud outdoor concert a few blocks away and the thumping of the bass was very loud and disruptive. Luckily it ended by 11. Wish I had known this

The only thing I didn’t love is that they were playing Fox News on the TV in the breakfast room everyday. I would have preferred local news or a non-news channel like ESPN, Food Network, etc.

Clean, modern rooms. Decent breakfast. Good location downtown (close to the freeway, walking distance to restaurants). Good amenities including a pool, gym, and smart TV. Excellent stay overall!

I m super grateful to the manager at front desk on 10/25 morning to go out of her way in helping me find my lost glasses from the room that I stayed in. I can’t go without my glasses.
