Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe old rooms are EXTREMELY dated but given the price I can’t complain too much, sheets had stains, bed was sleepable but clearly old, ancient tv that goes dark when anything is plugged into the hdmi. Bathroom was usable but the prehistoric shower curtain smelled awful. Found a random electrical cord under the desk they give you. The location isn’t terrible but it is technically off the strip.
Cheap, big rooms. Lots of places to eat atta boy burger was great, remodeled pool looked clean and nice but didn’t indulge. Casino is huge and comfortable. Good value in a pinch. Free parking with lots of security.

United States of AmericaThe Rio Hotel & Casino offers a mixed experience. The rooms are undeniably spacious, great for business travelers or groups and a good value if booked with Hyatt points or well in advance. The hotel prioritizes guest safety but be prepared for inconveniences related to this, like the security escort needed for duplicate room keys. The food court offers a few options, with the sushi being a surprising standout for both quality and price. Unfortunately, the Mexican and ramen restaurants don't quite live up to expectations. Additionally, ongoing renovations and high occupancy can sometimes lead to disruptions.
While the Rio boasts some positives, be aware of its drawbacks. Some of the staff can be rude, which adds an unpleasant element to the stay. The off-Strip location may not be ideal for easy access to the heart of Vegas action. The pool area is fine for families or a casual dip, but it's not a luxurious highlight. Lastly, the gym, while functional, feels dated. If top-notch amenities, a wide array of high-end restaurants, and consistently friendly service are priorities, consider alternatives. That said, if a spacious room is your top priority, the Rio is a decent option, especially for business trips or those paying with points, as prices can get expensive for what it is.

United States of AmericaThe newly renovated rooms had its perks. I had to call maintenance 3 times, the phones in the rooms did not work so I went through loops trying to reach the front desk from my personal phone. I could’ve went down stairs but we were on the 19th floor all the way at the end of the hall and the elevators were super slow I’m assuming because the hotel seem to be very busy & booked .
We were updated to the newly renovated rooms & the location was very close to all the attractions we wanted to do.

United States of AmericaI waited in line for over 30 minutes in the lobby. Nobody was at the front desk to help anyone. The check in kiosk are useless and don’t work. You have to get in line anyways. Hopefully someone is at the front desk to help you. I asked the house keeping staff for an extra towel and she looked pissed off that I asked and told me “Go get it over there!” and pointed down the hall to nothing. :/
The remodeled rooms are beautiful and spacious! There is. nice couch and pretty big flat screen TV in the room.

United States of AmericaRooms were dated. The sink faucets were difficult to use. Room smelled of cigarette. We found a cigarette butt behind the nightstand. A large hold was placed on my account and was only returned recently (about a month later). There was also a resort fee when the weather wasn't conducive to being by the pool, but that is every hotel in Las Vegas.
Rooms were spacious. Staff was friendly. Relatively close to the strip. Great view.
