Shame that owners don’t invest in updating the hotel If they did it would be a gem and they would be able to increase room rates

the valet people made us very uncomfortable. they made comments everytime me and my friend went outside. we went to the pub one night and one of th guys made a comment about “helping us back to our rooms”. then when we got back to the hotel he had sent a security friend to attempt to escort us into the room. did not like that at all. our bed had dust mites as well.

the location is prime if you’re going to the nars like we were. very good and in the middle of a lot of stuff. walking distance to awesome restaurants and bars!

The room was so small I felt like I was n a Microtel. Only one (average not obese) person can walk through the room at once without having to step aside to let the other pass. No room for bags. 25 to park, and they tell you after you make reservations. Won’t be back.

The front door construction was inconvenient, with no prior notice or warning given. I didn't care for the forced valet situation that I was charged $25 for, plus another $20 in tips. I also didn't care for the $60 "incidentals" deposit, they have my credit card information if something should arise. In the room, the bathroom door handle came off in my hand. There was hair in the shower and on a picture in the bathroom. Just gross. The thermostat for the fridge was on the back of the unit, which the maintenance man had to show me, after fixing the door handle.

Breakfast was excellent, as was the waitress who helped me. The location worked well for our plans. The staff was first rate, every single one of them that we encountered.

The atmosphere in the hotel was depressive. The hotel looked old.

When staying at a 'Crown Plaza' you expect the hotel to be much more new and have more amenities. The breakfast was the WORST we have ever had- and we have stayed at Crown Plaza's before. Felt disappointed with the price as well.

I liked that the hotel had a great 'downtown hotel' vibe. Overall, the rooms were good and area very central to things to do in the city (Captiol bulding etc...) The staff were kind and very accommodating.

When I booked it, based on the online photos, it made it appear to me that the room had a bathtub and we needed a bathtub and it didn’t have one. It was a stand in shower. Also when we checked into the room, the bathroom had reeked like someone had just finished smoking pot in the bathroom and I don’t know how that’s possible if the cleaning crew had just cleaned the room so we had to deal with a bathroom that stunk.

I wish continental breakfast was served in the morning, also the bathroom could’ve been a little cleaner and the AC vent had about an inch of dust on it.

I ate dinner at the restaurant and was very disappointed with my steak and drink which was not cheap. I ordered a medium steak and it came well done, and very salty. I was disappointed that a fifty dollar steak wouldn't be cooked properly. My drink wasn't great either, especially for the price.

The pool was very warm. Made jumping in a breeze with my toddler. The place was clean and the valet guys were super nice! Overall I had a good stay.

Property is showing its age. Pull out bed was worn. We could hear the TV from another floor in the exhaust vent in the bathroom. We were unable to keep water off the bathroom floor due to shower curtain not working properly. Little things but for price I expected better.

Above mentioned tub drain, which was very minor. Otherwise all positive.

Staff was great and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. My room was very clean, though there was a minor issue with the tub drain falling shut while trying to shower. Would definitely stay here again.

There is still room for improvement regarding the cleanliness of the room. Additionally, the noise level can be high during early and late hours. This is because many touring groups choose to stay at this hotel, and they have a tendency to make noise as they often check in late and check out early in the morning. Moreover, even without the touring groups, we have consistently experienced noisy neighbors during both of our visits.

Our second time booking this hotel. Staff were helpful and hospitable, and location was great when you were expecting to explore downtown Harrisburg area.
