This location is special. The hostesses are so accommodating, they even warmed my coffee cup for me each morning! Their rooms are well appointed and clean. Breakfast included and very well prepared. But be careful between the delish baked good and the hearty breakfast you may come home with a wider waist line.

Excellent bed & breakfast on a quiet side street just a few minutes walk from the heart of bar harbor. Breakfast was great each day, and the tea time with snacks was an added bonus every afternoon. The host was great and took care of any requests we had. We will be back!

The coffee selection would be better if you could order a cappucino or a fresh cup vs. the pre-made thermoses. The pillows would be better if they were down.

Julianna was amazing! So friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable. She gave me her hiking boots to use because mine were too small! I loved all the attention to detail, the tulips on the table, the gluten free options and breakfast. Katherine was great, very friendly, and Jason made excellent breakfasts. Julianna felt like a friend by the time we left and we will 100% return! We travel a ton and stay in many B&B's and this by far was the best! Julianna goes above and beyond and we felt it!

There could be some more parking I guess? But there's really nothing that we didn't like about this bed and breakfast!

Breakfast was one of our favorite parts of the trip! It was very good, Julianna was very nice, gave us info on things to do, hikes to see, etc. The room was very nice, the bathroom was great, with a spa tub! The bed was comfortable and the heat worked well (necessary in November in Maine)

The innkeepers were so kind, accommodating and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious and afternoon tea/baked goods were a welcomed treat after a busy day of hiking. The property was very clean and very quiet. It felt like a quintessential New England home with the fireplace’s relaxing coziness! Location was a close walk to hiking Bar Island and great downtown restaurants and shopping.

Wonderful B&B, they are so welcoming and you have the feeling of being at home. The room was pleasant and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was so good along with the afternoon sweet treats. We parked our car for three days and absorbed all there was about Bar Harbor everything was in walking distance. Wonderful!!!! Perfect ending to an amazing vacation thank you Hearthside Inn ❣️

Being on the 3rd floor (walk up) and no closet in the room or small refrigerator. Bathroom was very small. Dormered ceilings made it hard to get in/out of bed.

The breakfast was very good. They served lemonade and cookies in the afternoon, which was a nice touch. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Outdoor seating area was nice.

Would recommend changing up the seating in the dining area to account for more parties of two so that more people can have breakfast at the same time. We (and a few other parties of two) had to wait quite a while because two groups of two and one party of one were each taking up the only three tables, which are all set up for four. Also, would strongly recommend blackout curtains. I did not sleep well with the sun streaming in at 4:30am.

Wonderful staff, excellent location around the block from many restaurants shops, and a charming inn. Great breakfast.

Beautifully decorated and so welcoming what a gem of a place to find in Bar Habor. beautiful property where the staff really welcome you. The baked goods on arrival were a real treat after a long drive. Breakfast was really good loved the sweet and savoury options.
