First morning staff didn't respond to my greeting, pretended she did not hear. sensed strong prejudice. Tempted to say next time ask about ethnicity before you book individuals.

room clean. One staff member on the morning of my last 2 days was wonderful. I didn't get her name, but she had tatoos along her both arms., she was very pleasant and helpful. Cleaning staff was also courteous. surroundings were lovely, trees, cleanliness.

The bathroom and sink area lights are shared which isn't optimal. We understand this is being fixed in remodel.

The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows. Loved eating breakfast in the atrium by the huge fireplace every morning. The staff were super friendly and helpful in finding restaurants.

It should have had toiletries such as shampoo and conditioner, and a blow dryer. It also could have used bedside lamps, as there were only recessed lights, one on each side above the bed, which had dimmers. Not great lighting if you’re trying to read something.

The location was great! I was staying on my trip home to Pittsburgh, from visiting my son in CT, and I had my Newfie with me, so needed a dog friendly hotel. It was just for a short overnight stay, as I needed to be on the road by 4:45am. The breakfast offerings were out when I checked out, which was nice, as I was told the breakfast hours were later than I was going to be there. So a nice hot cup of coffee to take with was appreciated. The only thing was there were no toiletries, such as shampoo and conditioner in the room, nor tissues or a blow dryer. This wasn’t a problem for me, as I always travel with my own, but for someone who doesn’t, assuming those items will be provided, it would be a problem. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, quiet, as my room was set back up on the hill, toward the far end of the row, and checked all the boxes I needed it to. Worth the stay if you’re traveling with pets. Plus it’s convenient to the lakes and cute towns nearby. Great antiquing about 20 minutes or so north on rte 22. I used to live in a town just over the border in NW CT, so am familiar with the area. Also, the Mexican restaurant next door is worth checking out.

The price was a bit high. We're were not told we're anything was, such a ice machine. One question asked if we paid gorvextra services. Didn't know you had any. There was no microwave in the room, which most places have now a days.

The property was very big which was great for our children. The breakfast was good, our kids were happy.

Full meal offering onsite. The Mexican place next store was just insanely busy. Might as well not be there.

Breakfast was excellent compared to similar offerings at other hotels. Grounds we're very well kept. Room was spotless. Would definitely stay again.

I felt a little unsafe as there was no additional locks on the door. Just the doorknob and that's all!!! There should be a bolt action lock as well on the door.

No Wi-Fi or phone in room but our cell service was fine. Bare minimal essentials in the room, (ex. soap, shampoo, tissues etc). Barely enough for sharing.

Old school check in and check out. Beautiful grounds, very clean and peaceful stay. Friendly staff. Definately would stay here again.
