Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe receptionists are so nice and welcoming! A special Thank You to Ceci for your Kindness! :) Also, you get complimentary water bottles whenever you need. The bedroom was nice, comfy and very clean! The lounge room with coffee and treats all day, is so clean and convenient! Free Parking lot! And stores, gas stations, fast food or restaurants in the area. Thank you, my stay was great with you! I recommend 100% the Hercor Hotel!

United States of AmericaThe rooms are a bit smaller than I am used to with hotels. You literally walk in and the bed is right in front of you. Not a dealbreaker but we worked around the little space we had. Also, the walls were thin. We can hear the footsteps and voices of other guests around us. Luckily, we didn’t have much noisy people around us but it could be an issue for others.
Came by for a week for vacation in San Diego. Location was good. It was nearby a MTS station which helped whenever we didn’t feel like driving to downtown SD. But even with car, downtown was only about 12 mins away. Also, down the street there is a shopping center. Also, around the block they have tacos El Gordo, which are Tijuana style tacos (Really good!). Anyways back to the hotel, the staff was friendly and helpful. Cleanliness is good. Bed was comfy. Place looks like the pictures. Parking is free, which is definitely nice.

MexicoThere was no refrigerator or a normal coffee pot. They had a nespresso which we are not familiar or that high dollar. Also know breakfast is not included. There will be a charge at check out.

United States of AmericaMy neighbor had his television on late and loud. You can hear the passing cars. I couldn't work the television, it was confusing. Would have loved more fruits for breakfast.
Excellent customer service, room was clean and smelled good. I loved the shower, the water pressure really helped relax my muscles. Food was good. Would differently stay again.

Breakfast was fantastic. Small fee added to the room for a buffet style with all the expected stuff. The attendant was on-hand and cooked the eggs fresh as needed, which I'm sure helped the quality

United States of AmericaThe shower was kind of tricky but it worked. The bed was not very comfortable (2.5/5)..my wife is pregnant and for her it was much more difficult to sleep than me, but still, I didn't like it much. Also, the bed makes noises when you move. You can hear if the people in the next room are noisy or have the TV on. But for just one night, it was totally worth it.
Clean, good room space and huge bathroom! 15 minutes to Down Town by car. The price and value is perfect.

United States of AmericaRooms are smaller than American chain hotels/motels, with no extra seating except for a small chair at a small desk. No drawer space, but shelf space was adequate and wardrobe hangers plentiful. I'm sure the TV/entertainment system was fine, but this low-tech 85-year-old never figured out how to get local news (though I'm sure the staff would have helped if asked). Location was very convenient for our purposes, though in a high traffic and somewhat lower-end neighborhood.
Very well appointed and stylish rooms. Very comfortable bed, great shower, excellent lighting. Breakfast (and snack) room very convenient and never crowded. Appreciated the free coffee/tea and fruit/pastry snacks. Breakfast was extra cost, but a great value. All the staff were friendly, efficient, and accommodating. The elevator was handy, and the secure (gated) parking much appreciated.

United KingdomI noticed that the last minute price ( $79) was quite a bit lower than what I paid booking online several months in advance through booking.com but I guess that's no something you can predict; I wanted to have a secure booking as I did not have a car.
This is a very nice hotel, at the top end of mid-range I would say -in European terms, like a very nice Ibis hotel. The hotel was quiet, and less than 5 minutes from H Street Trolley stop ( a key reason for choosing this hotel as I was travelling without a car). 15 minutes to the San Ysidro border or 20-25 minutes to downtown. The room was , I suppose, a bit small by US Standards but fine for me coming from Europe. The bathroom was quite big and had a nice walk-in shower. The bed was very comfortable with good air-con. The room was cleaned every day. There was a small breakfast room but it was great. Coming from the UK, in find eating out in the USA not as cheap as it used to be but at $7.95 the breakfast buffet was a real bargain - they had three hot dishes - scrambled egg, bacon and fried potatoes ( a bit like "patatas bravas" in Spain). There was also cereal, bread, cereal bars, doughnuts and fresh juice and coffee. Hotels are not cheap in LA and San Diego and finding one with a decent transport connection is even harder but the Hercor hotel is a good option. I did not manage to explore Chula Vista but the immediate area seemed OK and there are a few places to eat nearby ( Taqueria el Jefe opposite).
