Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWe LOVED everything!!
This hotel is my new favorite spot in Austin! We loved the family-style feel, so cozy and welcoming, with make-yourself-at-home type amenities like cozy blankets for the patio, and a community coffee/tea bar. From the personal welcome when we arrived to the little note and chocolates on our bed, and our room stocked with all the amenities we had ordered, this place just felt like being with family - without any family drama! It was wonderful! Also, just a quick walk away is the world's best ice cream and pastry shop, especially if you are gluten-free and dairy-free! Even my husband, who prefers to eat all the gluten he can was amazed at how delicious everything was. Be sure to stop at Gati for some seriously amazing GF/DF treats while you are at Heywood!

United States of AmericaIt was 106 degrees outside so a dipping pool would be so nice in the heat. I knew it didn’t have a pool when I booked though so I had no expectation of one.
Will was a wonderful host and made us feel welcome from the get-go. The room was artistic, cozy, comfortable and the shower was amazing.

United States of AmericaBeautiful boutique hotel. We love this place! Comfortable rooms, pretty and super clean. Everything is there (and in it´s place), well designed and thoughtfully arranged. Loved the little patio area and the filtered water (hot/cold) tea station. Great hospitality by the owner (Kathy) & a priceless service! We received fantastic recommendations for restaurants. One feels warmly welcomed and immediately at home. A wonderful place to stay in Austin. We will be back, thank you so much, Kathy!

United States of AmericaThere’s no food onsite, but there’s so much around it’s not a problem. I highly recommend the coffee shop two doors down, but there really is so much within a 5 minute walk.
Honestly, this place is great. When it comes to the staff, everyone was so nice and helpful. The room itself was well maintained and truly had the most comfortable bedding, ever. Don’t be fouled by the location, if you walk 5 minutes you’re on the main strip of East Austin; which was fun and felt local.

United States of AmericaLoved all the small details that Heywood Hotel provided that made our stay exceptional! The toiletries-Kevin Murphy hair products, left my hair soft and hydrated as if I was leaving the salon. The welcome chocolates from intero were so delicious, I had to ask the front desk to purchase some more. The outside patio area was the perfect spot to enjoy our complimentary zilker beers, tea and coffee.

FranceReally enjoyed our stay at Heywood Hotel. We were well received by Kathy and stayed in a wonderful spacious room. The attention to detail was evident and they went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable and safe vis-a-vis COVID. We made use of on site bikes, which was a great way to discover the neighborhood which offers some great dining options.
