Hosts tended not to clean after themselves in common spaces but it’s not the property’s fault of course. The room was a bit dusty under the bed and the beds were very noisy (I slept in the lower bed).

The location is perfect! I was surprised I was able to book something there for such a competitive price! The staff cleans kitchens and bathrooms everyday I think. Lots of amenities, which was extremely convenient.

The shared bathrooms sometimes feels very crammed (especially in the morning) and could be cleaned more frequently. Paying almost 80 dollars to sleep in a bunk bed…

In my dorm the heating was really really loud, the bed sheets are quite bad and the bathroom too small for all that amount of people... The tables in the kitchen area are too few.

The kitchen is great with plenty of space to cook. The common areas are nice and the space outside is really enjoyable.

I've read the reviews about the shower not having hot water and unfortunately I was also blessed by that 😅 The room was also quite cold.

The location is a bit further from the main action in New York, however as a very connected city it seems to be the BEST value for money. Seriously! I was a bit skeptical, but the place was organised, relatively clean, friendly staff, the room was alright, the people was quite polite (but that could be just luck). I would truly stay with them again.

It would be great if beds had curtains, also a shelf would be nice to have. Elevator was very slow and old, so I often had to use the stairs if I didn't want to wait (but it's not a tall building at all, so it wasn't a big deal). And I had issues getting really hot water in showers, it was always just warm-ish - but that might have been just me being dumb and not a shower issue, I eventually managed on the last day. Overall just small stuff that could be improved.

Nice hostel, clean, enough bathrooms (I never had to wait). Shower stalls were big and had enough room to put your things, both hooks and a bench. Hostel provides everyone with a towel. Location is great, nice neighbourhood, close to subway and Central Park. There was a water fountain available and a coffee shop downstairs for breakfasts (you had to pay for what you wanted to eat though). Every bed had two sockets and a light, lockers were spacious. Wifi worked well. Also the building is really pretty.

Beds weren't the most comfortable and were very squeaky, still was able to get a good sleep. It is a hostel so definitely bring ear plugs and sleep mask, people are coming in very late. Still, great accommodation especially for the money.

Great value for the money, with a great location just a few minutes from subway and Central Park. Stayed in the 12-person room, everything was clean including the shared bathrooms and showers. Friendly and helpful staff!

I didn’t see more activities to integrate the people and more recharge spots, nowadays is necessary.

The place is huuuugeee. I had a room very far from the toilet and was not very comfortable walking in the freezing corridor in the night. Showers are crowded in the morning. And in the night the water is not hot enough. The kitchen is ok for cooking but also crowded at peak times. The mattress was not very comfortable, not enough blankets (the room was chilly in October!)

Good location close to subway 1, with many shops and restaurants around , and close to central park Friendly staff. But do not expect personal treatment, too many people are there and the staff changes every day. So it's more "impersonal" than other hotels . They have luggage storage for the day (5 USD) which is very convenient. And you can use toilets and common areas even after check out. Very helpful if you spend the last day in NY and then have to fly.

Location was nice and easy to find. Its closer to central park and metro stations. It has several food spots nearby. The hostel itself was very clean. Loved the restrooms as they were equipped with hot water and soap. Towels and linens were also clean. They offered my early check-in since a bed was available

Most the times their elevator is out of order, people have their baggage they had to drag thru the stairs of 4 floor Booking.com prices for 2 days are 190% more than what hostel is charging, I stayed additional 2 days for 48$ each, whereas booking.com charged 184.50 for two days,

Perhaps the insuficient number of MALE facilities in the 2nd floor compared to FEMALE and ALL GENDER. I think the 1st floor of the building might have had more additional male facilities.

The hostel was at a walk-able distance from the Line 1 Subway, Easy to get in and out. Clean facilities and a huge kitchen facilities. The idea of breaking the ice and talk to other users. Planned activities, like the tour with Phil to Tribeca. Other similar activities were included. Convenient corner-shops on Amsterdam Av to get food. Big individual LOCKERS in the dormitory. Clean areas and bilingual staff.

Nice and helpful staff, close to 103rd stations and Central Park. Beds, room and bathrooms ok. Well equipped kitchen, pool table. Nice cafe with sandwiches, coffee and hot meals available.

At one point there was no hot water in the entire 3 floor and it was so uncomfortable. Just imagine the weather in New York in cold weather and cold water.

The security is good and our room was peaceful.

I'm not sure if this happens often or if it was an exception, but on the first night, there was a guest sleeping in the bed assigned to me, and on the second night, when I arrived, I noticed that my locker had been opened and my belongings taken out. I had to go to the reception to claim them, and they apologized, saying that it wasn't common for this to happen and that they had accidentally changed my bed/locker.

It's easy and flexible to check in, the facilities look clean, it's well-maintained, there are ample and spacious showers and toilets. There's a cafeteria on the ground floor with snacks and sandwiches available.
