Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaAccording to the site it is closer to downtown than in reality. The staff at reception and breakfast is extremely unwelcoming and unfriendly. It’s a pity as the place deserves better service.
The room is nice, clean , comfortable and welcoming.

United States of AmericaListed above.
A quiet room was not offered by having me in the lobby. I had a guest, my newphew and at 6.3 tall offering the rooms a comfortable lounge chair is recommended. The bed, was like a pillow, meaning too worn not firm. I had a view of the street. I received a note asking if I wanted to stay another night at 155.00 which made me feel like I was in a 155.00 dollar room. Overall fine, but a lobby with no way to get a hot beverage of tea at 2 or 3 am when traveling from another time zone is also something to consider. I’m. It complaining I am a business owner myself and if I’m told what can e better, that’s better than loosing my clients. For me the title, The Hideaway, I had hoped to be resting and hidden away. I was polite to the young man at the desk, he was amazing. you lobby needs to offer more amenities, and a table outside the entry to be greeted by morning guests outside my door isn’t private.

United States of AmericaI know you can't really do anything about it but the entrance/exit is a bit scary.
Small and quaint. Good location but felt secluded and quiet. Each room felt very private location wise and was very charming inside. The lady who checked me in was great as well and very nice!

United States of AmericaThe parking garage was small and made it difficult to park our truck. Also, the property is near a freeway so there was plenty of noise.
It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. My room was a perfect size and I liked our private balcony.

United States of AmericaWe had the King Studio with a “Mountain View”. The view was of the outdoor back stairway. We had to keep our shades drawn because the other guests used those stairs. The room was very small. We couldn’t even open a full sized suitcase without tripping over it. The street it sits on is close to State st. and the harbor, but super busy.
The whole facility was lovely and beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and they had air conditioning, which is not always the case in small California inns. The breakfast was delicious.

United States of AmericaLocation is not totally amazing, but it's fairly close to the beach and State Street, so, still pretty good. And once you're in the Hideaway, it lives up to its name and you feel like you're in a peaceful getaway.
Breakfast was wonderful, the staff were super welcoming and warm. Afternoon fresh-baked cookies were delicious. Room was recently updated and really nice, beds were great, shower was fabulous.

United States of AmericaThe room had a balcony, but it just looks over the parking area and an ugly building. I think if you are on the top level you should have a nicer view.

United States of AmericaThe breakfast varied day by day in terms of quality. The cleaning / food service staff seemed disorganized and a little rough around the edges for a property at this price point.
The loft style room was perfect with a queen sized bed and two twins. This worked perfect for my two girlfriends and myself for our girl's trip to Santa Barbara. Super cute and comfortable for our stay.

GermanyI do think that the prices are very steep and parking is a challenge if you are driving a car which is bigger than a regular limousine/small SUV. Breakfast is good but it would have been nice to have a bit of a choice and not only "the breakfast of the day" and there is no coffee/tea maker in the room
the Hotel is really cute and comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms are beautifully decorated. great staff and exceptional service.

CroatiaThe room was very warm overnight. When we arrived it was raining like crazy and there was no one at the front desk. We ended up waiting in the car for 10 to 15 minutes.
The breakfast was outstanding. We would love to have the recipe! We were very pleased to find an affordable place to stay at the last minute. We were caught in Santa Barbara during the heavy rains when the 101 was closed in both directions. The big hotel chains were jacking up their prices and taking advantage of the many people that where stuck with no way to return to their homes.
