Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bed for the price was horrible, it was a sleeper sofa mattress on a steal frame. It was not very clean, we found a dead lizard on the floor. We did not try the breakfast.
Location was great. The manager was nice. The parking was good.

There was no shower curtain, so I couldn't shower. The toilet rocked back and forth, though i was going to fall off when i first sat on it, and the back of the bathroom door was pealing off. Made it look trashy. The beds would make a creeky poping sound when anyone would move.
It was on the highway. Make it easy to come and go to get to our destination.

The hotel was nice but the front desk staff was very rude, nonchalant, didn’t really want to deal with me, when I spoke to him he kept shrugging his shoulders, didn’t acknowledge me, I had to get booking.com to contact him and he told me to just hang up and from now on to just call the hotel directly and book with them. The service is why I want be returning back to this hotel ever again.

Owner was very rude & unprofessional. He stopped me before I checked out and let me know that he was going to be charging me $100 for my dog. He said it’s $50/night. I disclosed that I had my pet with me when I checked in and the young man who checked me in charged me for my hotel stay and did not say anything about charging anything extra. I tried explaining this to the owner who then got irate and told me that because I booked on booking.com he does not make any money off of my stay and that it actually costs him money to have us stay there. I refused to pay the $100 because had I known up front it would be $100 extra for my 10 pound dog I would have left. The beds were not clean. The sheets were stained and had cigarette burns in them. I paid for a non smoking room and the hotel staff even informed me of a $500 cleaning fee if I smoke in the room. When I arrived at the room, the room smelled strongly of smoke. The hotel advertised a hot breakfast and I went to get it at 7am and there was nothing other than cereal. No coffee, no waffles, no juice. To me, the hotel is not making enough money to stay open so they are trying to take advantage of guests.
The only thing I liked about this property was that it was right off the highway in a convenient location.

The shower was very dirty and it didn't drain properly. The beds were cheap and made loud noises getting in and out and turning in bed. The sheets felt dirty, the floors were dirty.

We did not stay there. The hotel was very crowded with construction workers. We needed a first floor room which was not available. The front desk was blunt and not receptive at all.

awful hotel, construction everywhere. front desk person didn't know what he was doing and was huffing and puffing like I was putting him out. he then proceeded to tell me the pet fee was $25 when the websdite said it was $15, that I had to pay cash and I couldn't have a receipt, luckily I had already read the previous reviews so I was prepared, don't stay here not worth the aggrevation!

owner / operator or someone next to our room was talking on the phone with speaker on at 6:00 am (we arrived at 3:20 am and really needed sleep) They were talking so loud you could hear them though the adjoining door and they woke us up

The main thing we didn’t like was the bed frame being metal so when you moved a certain way it made a loud noise. The floor was also a little dirty.
The property was in a convenient location and the traffic wasn’t bad! it was very convenient being on the bottom floor with our car right outside the door.

the rooms were smoky and dirty. our child’s asthma kicked in and we were unable to stay. we immediately returned to front desk and requested a room change, it was denied, so we asked for a refund. they said we would get one but charged us anyway. we used a different hotel for the night.
