Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The carpet smelled bad in the hallways. Soon as I got off the elevator the odor was terrible. Made me a little grossed out.

I didn’t like how there wasn’t like a mini porch to look outside more and I didn’t see a swimming pool which could of been great for summer times.
I really like how there wasn’t many noises and it was very comfortable and clean. The pricing is debatable but overall experience it good.

Elevator was broken, necessitating many trips up and down the stairs. Staff was very nice about it, but it was a drag. Our son appreciated the gym, and worked out several times while we were there. A room with a bathtub would have been nice...
Location wonderful, parking and convenience as good as I remember. Bar and Restaurant food excellent and breakfast great!

The AC in my room (and at least 1 other guest room I know of) did not work. The room was consistently over 75 degrees despite being turned to 62. There was no way to open a window. We woke up sweating. It took us 5 calls to get through to the front desk. The toilet hardly flushed and the water in the sink was so very finicky to get to stop running. It mostly dripped/ran constantly unless ultimate care was taken to get it just right. When one of our party's rooms ran out of toilet paper, he was sent to the front desk, then housekeeping, then back to the front desk, then told to wait at least an hour, then he had to go back to get it himself. Also the elevator was out all three days we were there. It is a pretty hotel with a rad location but I expected more for the price.
The location was perfect for us as we were travelling with 16 families and needed a variety of nearby food options that were walkable.

Broken elevator, never got fixed. Had to go up back stairwell. staff helped carry bags, but then we felt obligated to tip.

Breakfast was a little bit mediocre.
I was going to UC Davis. It was about 20 mins from Gallagher Hall and about 7 mins with Uber. It is a nice neighborhood, restaurants and shops nearby. The cinema is also around the corner. Staff are friendly.

bed was bot really comfortable. carpet inside room was very dirty when we checked in there was an issue with the room rate, it was higher than what was closed via booking.com. the staff corrected it on the spot but it wasn’t a nice experience.

it’s an old set of buildings that are renovated. everything is not upgraded - room heating and cooling, elevator, exterior.
Staff were friendly and attentive. The lobby is a nice bright space to hang out.

The air blows directly onto the second bed and could not get adjusted. This made it very ubcomfortable to sleep on that bed, and since we had a family, we had no choice but to use that bed as well

The breakfast buffet served the perfectly cooked scrambled eggs ( not dry/hard) The thin crispy bacon fully cooked but not burnt. This seems simple but to do so consistently dies take some skill and I completed the chef. Also the variety of items had something to offer for all breakfast desires.

The pet fee charge is ridiculous. When I booked the rooms it said there may be a charge, but nothing about the amount and $50 for a small dog is way too much. Unfortunately we arrived lare and didn’t have a chance to look for another hotel.
