There was a liquor bottle behind the curtain that a 5 year old found. For me the beds were very hard causing pressure point issues. For the rest of the people with me the beds were great.

Good parking. Big bathroom. Overall neat and clean.

Way too expensive, everything, including the food was costly, felt like “ Resort” pricing, there’s nothing about downtown Birmingham that feels like a Resort. And, paying to park certainly doesn’t feel like southern hospitality.

    Nice looking hotel

Keep a small pamphlet in the room with instructions on the use of the TV and AC. I miss the days when there was an abundance of helpful information in the rooms.

Had pancakes and bacon. Got my own coffee from the table. Did not eat dinner at the hotel. Went to a local restaurant. The room had no written material. I had to figure out how to use the TV which was easy but never did figure out how to adjust the thermostat. Had to request a hair dryer and it was a new one. The room I was given was not the one booked but I was told that room was overbooked. This was the last room on my end of the floor. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I chose the hotel as it was next door to the Red Mountain Theater where I was attending a special function. I did not need the attractions as I live in Birmingham.

The refrigerator was iced over and overheating. In the small cabinet it was in I was surprised it did not catch on fire. I know a little about refrigeration. One of the matters in our room had h loud squeak every time I rolled over. Room 423. I did not like that the employees would come out of a door by the pool and smoke.

The young black attitude at Breakfast time on the Hilton side was "OMG". Once we checked the lady at the desk explained everything down to the point for your stay at the hotel. Very professional. so the next morning went to the Hilton side for breakfast which I had paid for within my booking. She looked at me and my husband to you belongs over here. I applied yes with a stare look. She relies upon "what room". I said 424. I don't see you on the list. What's your name is was her reply? So gave it to her. I don't see you on here with attitude and her reply. let go to the first desk and see walking fast with attitude. So we followed with the other guests looking at us like we did not belong on that side. So the Manager at first put me up on the list. And told her the "BK" stands for Breakfast. Now she's looking crazy. So we go back and help ourselves to the breakfast which we are entitled to. So, I did ask her I see you didn't ask anyone about their room number or name (s). Her reply "They on the list." Just blunt and short with those sentences. So they ran out of biscuits so we ask for some more biscuits. Her reply is OK with attitude. So this white lady asks for some more bacon "Sure ma'am just as pleasant. Now I'm like oh this must be a black-on-black issue. She proceeds to help everyone except us. So the OJ is out, so I told the cook who was cooking some eggs that the orange juice was out and can we get some more. With no problem or question asked. Ma'am, I don't want anything I didn't pay for. She gave my husband the ticket to sign and thought you going to get a tip. Tip right on away from us. We usually leave awesome tips. If you are in a bad mood (stay home) or if you don't like people this is not your profession.

All was well until breakfast. Completely grossed out. We got there at 8:30 AM and most items had run out. No utensils left. One bagel left which my daughter and I split. I didn’t see any re-filling of anything. The waffle station was just gross batter all over the place. Empty tables, but none cleaned off. We just ate half a plain bagel on the outside patio in the heat as the inside was gross.

Location, clean room, plenty of parking. Front desk lady was very accommodating and helpful.

The downside was the $15 per night for parking and not being able to find a parking spot. We had to move cones and luckily get a spot. If that didn’t happen we would’ve had to park elsewhere and risk tickets or towing. We live out of town so it could’ve been bad.

I liked the location, cleanliness, and the soft pillows. Also, I liked that the check in girl was nice but failed to tell us time for breakfast and checkout time! Ya know the basics. I do like the check out time being 12:00 pm
