The hotel allowed pets . I had no idea. My allergies were the worse during my stay . $400 per night and the guest in on my floor were very noisy. There were at least 3 rooms at a minimum that were loud . My room smelled like animals. The front desk clerk said that the rooms were sold out so I wasn’t able to move to a different floor . I was called / texted several times before my arrival to confirm my stay and they threatened to cancel my room if I didn’t make it in my noon . Luckily I arrived right at 12:31 so I was able to check into my room, but had I known that my stay wouldn’t have been comfortable i would have just allowed them to sell my reservation. We checked out the next day and stayed at a different hotel about 3 miles away from this one . I’m very pleased with my 2nd hotel choice. The resort itself is very family / pet friendly so if that’s your preference then I would recommend the Hilton garden inn

There was no extra bedding in the suite which would be used with the pull out bed.

The breakfast was a highlight for us. Made to order eggs, attentive and responsive staff. Amazing service overall!

Room smelled like mildew. There was a sewage smell in the hall one day. Witnessed management berating an employee in front of everyone. Felt this unnecessary. Desk staff seemed rude.

My room was changed after I had already checked in and received my room number, which would have been a room with a pool view and partial but decent view of the gulf, because the prior guest decided at the last minute to stay an extra night. Instead I ended up with a view of the condo next to the hotel and could barely see the gulf only if I pressed my face to the glass and looked left. The staff attempted to make up for this with several credits and vouchers, which was appreciated. However, the disappointment of the crappy view each morning remained.

Right on the beach. Great amenities. Close to downtown Fort Walton and only 10 minutes from Destin. Restaurant and bar on site.

So just a few healthy gripes. The big one... no wifi or cell access in our room. Technically if this was planned by the hotel, I'd love them for the idea. We were almost completely cut off from the outside world (because we also had no cell service in our room) which made for a wonderful... (truly) wonderful vacation. Our room had some slight damage to the inside bottom of the bathroom door and to the frame of the same door, and while not earth shattering... for the price of this hotel mid-summmer it's something you'll notice. A personal gripe, I didn't like that there was a sense of an obligation to tip servers for a self-service breakfast. Again, our theme was... for the price of the room and services... and the price of the breakfast... the least comfortable feeling was the obligation to tip a waiter for a self serve breakfast. Also, last small gripe... In the children's rooms, it's lovely that the deck door is not at a child's height. It would be equally lovely if none of the switches in the rooms were at children's height. Probably not possible but... would be lovely. Our 3 y/o had great fun flipping all the lights on and off. Anyway, I loved our stay and I'll definitely return in the future.

So we loved the location of this hotel, we had a 3 day / 2 night stay and it was perfect for a beach day... an aquarium & swim day... and a hotel swim & date day. 95% of the hotel was clean as well, and my room had a tinge of bleach scent when we arrived so I was confident that my room was freshly cleaned. The Staff were endlessly friendly to me and my family during our entire stay. If we had any issues, they were quick tp fix them and ensure the hotel portion of our vacation was perfect. The pool was magical as well.

No stoplight to assist in getting in and out of the property because traffic was a nightmare. Hotel is a bit outdated and even though we constantly saw cleaning people, the hallways were dirty with food and other random things. Needed to be vacuumed. The water pressure in the showers was very low.

Location on the beach was great, within walking distance to Anglers & The Boardwalk. Hotel staff all very friendly. Restaurant on site and the pool was clean.

PETS, We had Dogs staying in the room beside us & barked every time they heard somebody outside. Only having housekeeping 1 day. Every other day would be ok but I feel like since COVID these services have went downhill across the board.

I feel like the staff could have been more informative. I wasn’t given any information about the hotel when I checked in about where things were or about the restaurant inside. I was just given keys and a parking pass.
