Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Everything in the lobby, public restrooms, carpeting, furniture, etc was old, dingy and dirty. The room was better - generally clean. But the TV was old and cable VERY basic. Bathroom was not dirty but just old.

There was no vending machines, they had only a pantry, the pool room did have some black mold on the ceiling, and the suprise extra charge for the deposit, which this is more on the website for not letting me know on that one. Our room was clean but we did find old chocolate on the floor next to the bed from a previous stayer, but other then that perfect stay
Right off the highway to get to the airport fast, I live hiltons they have the best beds and super nice staff, also their pools are always so nice

The fact that I was charged $5 per day for parking and did not even receive a parking pass or sticker. If I hadn’t told the front desk I drive in how would they have known to charge me or anyone. I just believe I was scammed. The same with breakfast, it should have been free.

the air conditioning was not working the first night. We were all stuffed up because we had to run the fan to try to cool the room down. There were 3 of us in the room and they only give you enough washcloths and towels for 1 shower each.
we did not have breakfast because it was an extra charge. The Staff was responsive to our needs. They took care of the issue with the air conditioning promptly. They were friendly.

Air conditioner was very noisy. Didn’t realize I was getting charged $5 to park in their parking lot. Not even a downtown hotel.

My room was invaded by ants and I lost 1/2 my meal to infestation Free WiFi was slow--had to purchase faster internet TV cable was too slow between channels and could not find a guide to channels to make watching easier

Hot tub broke down, Ants, no free breakfast and there was not hot bar to help yourself to. That would have been worth $12 dollars a person to eat.
Location close enough to a few places to walk and eat. 10min drive to the event we was in town for. Staff was very helpful in many ways. Free water bottles.

The hotel may use some renovation. 10 p.m. policy should be enforced.
Staff is great and very helpful, thank you for addressing my problem regarding hot water right away - problem solved within 10 minutes. Bartender was very friendly and polite. Breakfast was better than most of hotels in the US in this price level.

The pool was down most of the night, the hot tub was completely down. Which was a main reason for this stay.

We almost missed out on our free breakfast because they didn't provide us our breakfast vouchers early on. Front desk personnel quickly provided vouchers after requested.
Breakfast was delicious and they were very accommodating for our dog, Skippy! It was also very easy to get to from I-65, allowing us to hit the road quickly!

Breakfast was not included. Shower head was in need of a de liming. Bathroom sink mirror lighting was inadequate. Mattress needs flip or rotation. Feet were higher than my head.

The hot tub was out of order. There was a strong smell of marjuana (which I know wasn’t the hotels fault).
