Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

There was a little bit of rust in the bathtub but the stay was still very enjoyable. It also would have been nice to have an earlier check-in time.
The bed was comfortable and the Keurig coffee maker was great! Water pressure in the shower was good and I liked the height of the shower head because I'm tall. The fitness center looked nice but I didn't have time to use it.

I believe it should be free breakfast with the amount we are paying. I had ask for extra towels and pillows for my room. The staff late at night told me to get it my self, someone should bring it up to the room. Was so busy and tired from a long day, that there was not enough towels and pillows for my family. My husband went to go get them late at night to get them. I had to wait in the shower until he went to go all the way downstairs to get one. He first had to call then when he told them for the extra things we needed they said we had to get them ourselves, so now he had to get dressed put on his shoes and go to the front desk. Our room was near the elevator so everytime it pinged and the doors opened you could hear it!
Our room was very large and clean, the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was good with quite a few options.

Advertisement was misleading about free breakfast then charged. Staff told me it would be removed, but was charged anyway. Had to speak to management. Told it would be refunded after speaking to them.

Wooden bed structure makes too much noise. We can also heard similar noise from other beds upstairs. Noise woke us up during the night. The hotel must correct this critical issue!

The only thing was when we were leaving around 12:30 on Sunday the lady mopping by the elevators in the back was very rude. When the doors opened she kept mopping not letting us get off and then gave us a look when we forced our way through.

Breakfast. I booked my room through Trivago/Booking.com. It indicated on the reservation that breakfast was included. Unfortunately, that was not the case because I was not a Premier guest I was not entitled to the hot breakfast. I believe I was offered some fruit and coffee. Had I known this I would have never booked my stay with Hilton Garden Inn. I was traveling across country and had stayed at other hotels and did not experience the disappointment of not being able to enjoy a hot meal. In addition, the manager on duty was quite dismissive and unapologetic as to my discontent. She basically said I wasn't entitled to the premier breakfast, and I should have read the booking disclosure more closely. I reiterated the booking sight indicated that breakfast was included and, in my opinion that does not equate to fruit and coffee. Will never stay at another Hilton Garden Inn.

The light in the bathroom was out right by the shower so I had to make sure my son didnt slip while bathing. They closed the kitchen an hour and a half early so I had to leave at 8:30pm to get my son food when i was banking on eating at the hotel after driving 10 hours.
Comfy beds, breakfast was worth every penny! Location was perfectly near food and other stores/shops and gas.

The jacuzzi didn't work and Ice machine didn't work

Place was great but it was missing the coffee maker and the hair dryer. We notified staff and it was taken care emidiately.
