Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe staff was unapleasant and messy _ they missed the reservation, they were slow and little available. They promised gym classes that did not really existed, they charged extra per day to allow us to use the swimming pool.
I liked the location which is right across a golf course facing the Ocean. Very very nice place.

MexicoIt’s seems in need of restoration, it’s old and dark. Breakfast food buffet quality was low. Room service charge was very high (above 20usd just for bringing the food). Our room was serviced once during our 4 night stay. Overnight parking was a whopping 48 usd per night.

United States of AmericaIt was very large & it took a while to get to & from our room to the lobby. Had to pay $40 per day per car for parking as a long time Hilton Honors member. The patio was over grown with creeping ivy plants & not maintained on any of the connecting buildings.
The proximity to the Torrey Pines Golf Course. Great view of the course and the ocean. The staff were all super friendly & helpful with local restaurant tips. The room was large & we had a partial ocean view. The bed & pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was large & had amazingly powerful shower water pressure! Crabtree & Evelyn products were nice.

United States of AmericaCheck-in receptionist was pretty unpleasant from the moment we stepped up to the desk, despite our smiles, which pretty much set the tone for the stay. My dad, a teacher, is pretty unflappable but even he walked away and made a comment about her bad attitude. Not exactly the caliber of service you’d expect from such a location. Facilities are dated, though comfortable, but our room looked out on the patio/pool area and the music from the bar was audible despite closed doors. The killer was that the parking fee was astronomically expensive, an unfortunate surprise. $40/night for a damp, dank underground parking lot. We stayed at another Hilton property in the area the night before, $17 for parking, that’s reasonable. Honestly, if I had known (the amount is not listed anywhere on the hotel’s booking.com page), we would have stayed somewhere else. Thank god we only stayed one night, the gentleman checking in next to us was unfortunately staying for three and was equally saddened by the realization that he’s be paying $120 for parking alone. It’s not like it’s in an area where you can find alternative parking, so this is obviously the hotel price gouging. It made the room deal we thought we’d found on booking.com end up more expensive than alternative properties and, after the lackluster stay, we left feeling a bit cheated.
Location is great, walking distance to Torrey Pines Reserve.
