I personally hate the layout of this hotel, with the hallway from the elevator only accessible from one direction (unless you cut through the stairwell). I hated that I couldn't take the stairs since they only open to outside with no access to the lobby. I requested no room service, but someone accessed my room anyway. Oddly, they only took the bathmat, but did not replace it, so I went without one for the rest of my stay. However, they also did not refill the empty shampoo container--luckily I had brought my own. Dinner service at the restaurant was poor.

The rooms were nice and clean, beds comfortable. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was abundant with easy access to an entry. I like that the shower supplies (body wash, shampoo and conditioner) are provided in refillable containers instead of tiny plastic bottles. This is great to help reduce plastic waste. Cookies at check-in was a nice and welcome treat.

A new employee black female with braids ( "who's been here for a year") made my stay unpleasant. She tried to over charge me for the room incidental. And proceeds to tell me thats shes been doing this for a year... so she has been over charging people for a year im assuming. Then i used the shuttle to go to walmart. This driver also rude Wouldnt give us a card to call when we were ready told us call the hotel. I walked into walmart at 6:30 the money center was closed and the shuttle had left. So i called the hotel, and they told me he was on another route that i had to wait. So i said no problem can he pick me up from qdoba me and my wife are gonna get food its raining and its in the same plaza as walmart literally across the parking lot and she said no. You have to walk back to walmart in order for him to come from you. We watched the shuttle pull up to Walmart and not come to qdoba. He sat in the warm shuttle and waited outside for about 5 mins. We called a Lyft Which i dont understand because we every-time ive come here the shuttle driver and hostess are the nicest people but this trip this wasnt the case. Maybe the shuttle driver was hard of hearing because he was an older guy but the hostess was terrible Also the ice machine area on the 3rd floor seems a little sketchy there is a door on the ice machine area so i pushed it open and a chair is there like someone sits there waiting on people to come in. Then its right by the exit stairs.

I visit this property every time i come to norfolk and i gets better every-time i visit; 11 visits and counting.

The elevator wait time. But there was construction, so not much you can do about that. I don’t like that there was no shuttle to the port.

Breakfast was good. They restaurant did a good job serving, although they were extremely understaffed.

The maid staff was not the best. They didn’t leave me with with new supplies, like toilet paper. There was one day they didn’t come into the room and clean at all. I also had a toilet problem that the maid staff didn’t see to having it repaired.

They double charge me for my room on 10/02 /2023 for $457.50 and put a hold on my credit card for $150 dollars my room was paid in full on line with Booking.com on Sept 24.

The beds could have been a little bigger, but they were really comfortable to us. We slept a little longer than normal when we stay in the hotel. With that being said, there is nothing else I would change about our stay.

My spouse and I did not eat breakfast because it was his birthaday weekend and I wanted to do something special for him. We went out to eat. If it was'nt his birthday, then we would have probably ate everyday we was there, because the food smell really good.

The first room smelled like mildew, so I asked to be moved. They moved me and the room smells better, but the sheets weren't clean. Neither was the skirt on the Bed.

It was a little storm while we were there & as nice as the hotel was the power went out. I would expect a big nice hotel like that to have a generator but the power was only out maybe 45 minutes thank God but they should’ve had a generator. And they said it was a pool on the website and in the hotel I saw a sign that showed us where the pool was. But when we attempted to go it looked like they just recently built it. It was closed because it was still during construction. And lastly we had to pay for the breakfast. We went there expecting it to be complimentary like every other hotel & we had to pay for myself and my children. I thought that was crazy but not only that but it was simple. It wasn’t anything special for us to had paid for it.

The restaurant was understaffed. we arrived after 2 plane journeys from London and needed a meal. They could not accommodate us without a long wait. We had been travelling all day and booked this hotel months previously because it had a restaurant and bar. We ended up buying a snack from reception and went to bed. Very disappointing. The restaurant had no atmosphere either.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good.

I was upset because I purchased the package with breakfast included and I wasn't able to feed my family, because they stated that I was not on the list. The toilet bowl head was cracked. I requested a late checkout and it was not annotated either.

The kids enjoyed the pool.

The property had a grass patch that looked liked it was once a swimming pool. The grass was around what looked to be a retired swimming pool. Not what you want to see if your spending your hard earned money.
