Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

They never came to clean the villa during our stay. Had to find someone to take out our garbage.

Our room was a bit dark and could use another lamp or two. However, it was spacious, clean and comfy.
We were immediately upgraded to a small suite upon arrival, by an excellent lady in reception. The room is a little dark and could use better lighting, however it was quiet and very adequate.

The staff was rude. Our sleep was interrupted by security stating that we had a complaint for noise however we were sleep. This happened an additional time the same evening. This was completely unacceptable. I stated my complaint with the frondesk and nothing was done. I asked for towels from housekeeping and they never brought them. Outside of the shuttle driver and his great customer service (Colen) it was not a good stay and I won’t be returning.

Villa was outdated decor wise compared to website pics.
Spacious villa loved having kitchen and nice patio. Staff was responsive and friendly. Kids enjoyed the heated pool. We greatly appreciated acknowledging our wedding!

No toilet paper , I was in town from Texas. I've traveled to multiple states and stayed at mant diffrent hotels I didn't know having toilet paper was considered an add on or an amenitie ! Not too big of a deal , just found it odd!
The location was perfect, enjoyed the voews from my room. Although I didn't get to go down to the pool , it was screaming relaxation!!

I didn't like anything especially the fact that I paid $80 for six chicken wings that were hard and a tiny salad where the chicken was absolutely disgusting on it
We stayed I know for a fact that I added breakfast in with the price of my room the next morning when we woke up we were told no so we had to pay $30 for a plate of disgusting food for per person and then I took my kids swimming and we ordered lunch and paid $80 for the most disgusting lunch of my life and it was ridiculous we paid $80 for six wings and a tiny salad where the chicken was absolutely disgusting on the salad and the chicken wings were hard and old

The quality was not on point with the cost simply for the location. One bed had dirty sheets and we chose to use only one of the regular sized beds for both of us because of it. We did ask to have them changed and they changed them for the next night. No consolation was offered or even suggested over it though. Location is why we stayed another night, and the only reason. Could not get a coffee delivered through room service, an entire pot was the only option we were left with. Also the pillows were not all the same, a couple of them were over-used.
The pool was nice, & good location. Pool access was fair and the one bed we used was comfortable for the most part.

We stayed in the Villas which are in need of update. Bed creaked and sagged in the middle of mattress (significantly). Furnishings were outdated and uncomfortable. Location was not convenient, having to drive to the pool.
Location was good, staff was very friendly, pool area was lovely with great service.
