Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyDowntown St. Louis was very empty. If walking, especially at night, be alert or go by car (but this has nothing to do with this hotel specifically, would be the same for any hotel in the area)
The hotel had historic charm and was clean and tastefully decorated. It has much more character than surrounding hotels as at comparable price. Also very close to the Arch National Park, which was great for morning walks. Staff was always very friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again.

United States of AmericaThe ironing board was missing the cover and the air in the room was not working well. It was set on 65 but it was still hot in the room and it seemed to cut on and off when it wanted too.
The facility was very nice and the location was great. I like the use of the room key to access the floors.

United States of AmericaBreakfast was $20 a person, $21 to park, and the sheets didn’t fit the bed. They kept falling off.
I like that you had to use a key to get onto the floors. And it was walking distance to the ball park.

United States of AmericaJust the street on which the hotel is located.
Hotel is located a short walk from the arch. The street itself is not very pleasant with some buildings vacant and waiting to be updated. Especially it felt a bit sketchy at night. But the walk to the park is short. The staff was very helpful starting from the valet that quickly and accurately explained the parking options to check-in to breakfast to check-out. There was live music in the lobby in the evening we found pleasant. We even have a bit of a view of the river :)

United States of AmericaThere were two extra charges that Hilton is hiding from this and other sites visited. Parking and breakfast are both pretty steep, and add-ons. We also had to change rooms, as the keys didn't work... after unpacking and relaxing. NOT great after 400-miles driving. Mixed bag.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. Only three blocks from the ballpark and the arch. Room was large and included all amenities, comfortable and clean. Old world charm, brick building with historical flair, the lobby was exquisite with art deco furniture, lighting and a cool bar. Music was classic.

United States of AmericaThe address I was given, 400 Olive, is not correct. After dragging two heavy roll around bags down Olive from the light rail station at 8th and Pine I found a closed and locked door in what appeared to be another of the many shuttered buildings surrounding the location. It took some rather anxious minutes to learn the entrance was on the next cross street. The hotel and booking.com are in disagreement as to the room rates. Their problem but it has taken some phone calls to get correct. Downtown St. Louis rolls up the sidewalks at 8PM. So in the hotel I paid $34. for one of the worst hamburgers I've ever had and couldn't finish it. Fries were ok. Although downtown STL is as dead as most American cities every Missouri A*Hole with an overpowered and no muffler car likes to roll downtown and listen to their exhaust ringing off the blank buildings. Despite St. Louis claims to being a BBQ mecca there is only one BBQ place within walking distance and it's not that good. Raised on Memphis BBQ here. ;) Maybe St. Louis will come back. The downtown does have potential.
This is an old bank that has been repurposed. Lots of marble, columns etc. The property itself is looking rather upscale if that appeals to you. The room was quite adequate, comfortable, and the recent renovations completed for the most part. And what work was left was not an issue. The free wifi took help from the staff to get connected. Secret passwords and all that. I thought the staff were very nice and accommodating. There is a breakfast buffet at a reasonable price on some days ($20). Which days is a question as it isn't every day. Surprisingly STL Airport breakfast was 1/2 the price. The location is OK.

United States of AmericaThe service staff for dining and bar area was awful! We waited a long time to get drinks during happy hour because the bartender was unsure where everything was, the wine glasses were all dirty, so he had to clean them and that took extra long, and he seemed very disgruntled about his job. The next day we came down for breakfast that we paid extra for, and there was NO staff to seat us, and the other people who had been seated were not being served at all. We stood there waiting for someone to help us for over 10 minutes. So we left and never ate breakfast there, even though there was the upcharge for it. And the charge for valet was ridiculous! $50 per day???
Having daily cleaning services!
