Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThis historic venue was a fun place to stay. The owner is restoring the places back to their original condition with a few upgrades. It will be very nice when they are completed. We plan to book all of these for a private stay in the future.

United States of AmericaMore electric outlets would have been appreciated but I saw that newer rooms they are renovating will have more
The room was clean and well kept. The space was bit small, but that’s to be expected given the age and uniqueness of the room

Take a step back in time with this restored treasure! The new owners have taken great pride in not only restoring this iconic place but also bringing back the sense of community. The owner lights a fire each night for guests to sit around and enjoy, have conversation & get to know each other. The furnishings are mostly original as well as the interior.

United States of AmericaThe room is distinctive and comfortable, the bonfire in the center of the wigwams was welcoming after a day sightseeing caves and museums, our wigwam neighbor was friendly, and the owner was super informative and helpful. Also, the owner's cat is a chill cutiepie.

United States of AmericaI have no complaints. Some people may be surprised at the size of the rooms. But going in knowing what to expect helps. The rooms are round and cozy.
The owner took time to tell us about the history of the Wigwam Village, and recommended great places to eat nearby, and family friendly things to do nearby. The stay is very family focused and encourages meeting other travelers out in the center of the village. Nightly bonfires, playground for kids. It was great!

United States of AmericaElectricals worked but didn't want to plug in too many items at once. Did not feel comfortable leaving heater on overnight but was warm enough. Could not reach cord for overhead light.
Unique, cozy accommodations in an historic motel. Everything you need for a short stay. Good location close to Mammoth Caves as well as other caves in the area. Owners offered a short history of the village when checking in. Quiet overnight. Nice large area for kids to play. WiFi in room.

United States of AmericaLove that the owners are so passionate about restoring the wigwam village no 2! We were greeted with a sit down brief story about the history of the wigwam village. We stayed in #7 which had 2 very comfortable beds, a wooden chair, luggage rack, small vanity and bathroom. Also equipped with a little coffee pot, tv, wifi and a heater. The rooms were very clean and I can’t wait to stay again! The outside area has a slide, swing, merry go round, bags(corn hole) boards and a big fire pit for everyone to gather around. Excited to see future renovations!

United States of AmericaIt is still being renovated and it was cold when I stayed. The electric heater was not up to the job. If it was warmer outside, it would not have been an issue at all. The do offer air conditioning in the rooms.
Great historic lodge. It is being renovated as near to original as possible. The owners are very happy to share the history of the lodge and give great tips for dinner and breakfast. Definitely recommend this place. The village is within 12 minutes of many attractions including Mammoth Caves national park and dinosaur world.

United States of AmericaReally not much not to like. We understood going in that there were some renovations going on when we arrived, and we loved it.
This was a 1st for us and we'll definitely be back. The men had to plan the weekend with the hopes that our spouses would be surprised, and I think we succeeded. Great hosts and the history behind the Wigwams was something that I had never known.

United States of AmericaThe motel is a restoration in progress, and it would have been nice for the historic cafe to have been open. We were told that that is in the works for next year.
We loved staying in this classic bit of historic Americana. Our host, Keith, gave us a great welcome with the history of this site on the National Historic Register. Our teepee was very clean, with original furniture, a great comfortable mattress and bedding, with everything being a throwback to a simpler time. The evening campfire was the perfect touch, and the play area with vintage playground toys was great to see.
