The hotel staff were amazingly kind and helpful. The hotel location is perfect. Also, it's rainy season, the hotel provided free good quality umbrella for customer to use free of charge! And, it's mother's day weekend, the hotel intentionally put a small booth of roses/flowers and cans of beverage in front of the hotel where people/passerby can take for free. These're very nice gesture shown by the hotel for its customers and the community at large.

Very small if you are getting a bunk room but manageable if you are only staying a few nights.

The location was fantastic. Only a 10-15 minute walk from the national mall. Rooms very clean and modern with comfortable beds.

The building is very noisy. Rooms are in the basement and noise from the bar and from other guests are clearly audible.

Perfect for solo travel. The room was just large enough. The location was fantastic - just two blocks from the metro and in a good area of the city (near a university). There IS a lot of noise, as my room was in the basement under the bar, but they are up front about this in the listing so you can't really complain about it. Plus, the bar closes at 11PM so it didn't keep me awake.

I would say that if you are not comfortable with small spaces, then the hallways and corridors might be confusing.

Location was perfect for visiting all the sites. The room was clean - the vibe was fabulous! Visited with my 14 year old son and the whole bunk bed situation and great music and just overall look and feel was perfect for us.

Dea Dea at the reception was exceptionally professional and kind. She will be one of the reasons why I will consider the Hive again and would recommend it to friends. She was very attentive and supportive. I needed it after a long flight and getting to the hotel exhausted.

The rooftop was closed both nights for private events and we didn't get the chance to enjoy the sunset.

The room was very clean and neat. The service was wonderful and they continue to check up on us and making us feel very welcoming. The location is perfect and we were able to get around the city with no problem.

All great, but could look into WiFi connection. Sometimes Pizza Free wifi was stronger than Hive hotel’s Wi-Fi, which was quite unstable.

Location excellent for a business trip (all state institutions nearby - walking distance) or visiting students (Washington University is around the corner). I didn’t take breakfast, but was amazed that hotel offers complementary coffee (with free-refill). Excellent bonus! Pizza place was nearby (next door). Good one!

I didn’t like that there weren’t mini fridges in the rooms or the fact there were a lot of storage space to unpack effectively.

Every time I come here I enjoy the welcoming staff, great atmosphere, and a super clean and comfortable space.

Our second visit our room was tiny and windows facing other rooms and a roof. We know it’s a micro hotel but it’s small and we paid quite a bit for it. The value seemed to be pushing it. We would still recommend but to be sure to ask for a bigger room.

We’ve been here before. First visit the room was Clean, a great location and fun room with lots of windows. Second visit the room was Clean with a comfortable bed, nice bathroom with shower, friendly service. The pizza is terrific, don’t miss it!!
