Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Rooms are tired and a very basic breakfast. We left early to have breakfast in a local cafe.
Location was great, hotel rooms were basic and in need of a professional upgrade.. starting with some basic maintenance would be a start.

the property is outdated and the bathrooms were not clean, rusted and moldy tub, door locks were faulty as well. We only stayed 1 night so it served its purpose

I wasn’t to happy that about the room not looking anything as the photos showed and we also had no fireplace in our room and was upstairs. We also froze till we finally climbed into the bed because the heater wasn’t working right. They did send someone to check but it’s just old and not perfectly clean but it worked
I loved it was on the river and Amanda at the front desk was amazing! She is very welcoming and made us feel right at home.

In Need of Total Update.
Located on the river. Our room on the back #201, had a pretty view of the river. Thankfully No Carpet. Old Hotel was quiet. Room was comfortable. Lots of pigeons so bird poop is an issue. $73 for a Sunday night. It's location makes the little town of Helen walkable.

The backdoor in room 105 needs fixed, I did report it to the staff.
For the price we paid the room was good. The staff was very friendly. We would stay there again.

there was NO mirror in the vanity area!! Bathroom floor could have been cleaner
the riverfront room was quiet, next to a soothing river. Bed was comfortable. Fridge , microwave & TV were great! we could walk to the festival downtown & a fine German restaurant was right next door

Room was 1/2 finished from an ongoing renovation. No mirror in bathroom, toilet room old and not in good shape. Building badly needed paint. Door locks seemed loose.
Location, parking, cleanliness. Beautiful river views.

Fireplace didn't work, jacuzzi was small, bugs were in the bedroom, floor by fireplace was damaged and covered by carpet, bed was low quality,frame squeeked, property team was smoking outside the office as guests walked by.
It was close to downtown Helen and walking distance to the river.

The Heater did not work and they were remodeling. No mirror in the entire room, but the staff went out of their way to bring us one.

Hall lights was not on, left at 6 am a stairs and hallways were dark and very dangerous. Stairs were not safe and dangerous. Why would you do this??

The bathroom. The toilet seat was old. And disgusting! My husband left a pair of hunting boots, they were supposed to send them to him, they never did. They could have charged it to my card! 😡

The staff I believe could use some lessons on being hospitable, seeing as they are in the hospitality business. We also paid for and expected to get a river front room, non smoking king. When we showed up they said they did not have any available and just handed us the keys to another room on the street. The only thing that was the same was the king bed.... It was a smoking room and had a heavy smoke smell and wasnt very clean at all. The only reason I did not insist on another room was because of the time it looked like it would take for them to make that happen, and the price was only $110 per night.
The location is fabulous! Right on the edge of town and a quick walk to the center of town. The hotel is older and is in the process of being renovated and I will be anxious to see what it looks like when it is done. The hotel itself has so much more potential than it is currently being run as.

There was a musty smell in the room that we couldn't get rid of. The sheets on one of the beds had a wet, dirty spot on it so it apparently wasn't changed after the previous guest.
The location is very close and convenient to the main attractions of town. The window and door face the river and have a good view. Most of the staff (that I met) were friendly and helpful.
