Carpet and furniture could do with a deep clean at the end of the season

Great location in Carmel. There is a swimming pool which we didn’t use but others were using. 15 min walk to Carmel beach. Bit old fashioned but suited vibe of Carmel. Tonnes of parking. There was a fridge and a microwave and little kitchen area in the room. Close to some great restaurants.

The breakfast options are very limited (just coffee, bananas and sweet things) and there is no place to have it (you just pick it and take to the room, where there is no table). The shower has no water pressure.

The hotel is colored, which is cute, the bathroom is big and the bed is confortable. There is a nice pool, although I didn't have time to use it.

Lack of lighting in the shower and very thin walls, fine for us but if you’re a light sleeping, it’s good to keep in mind!

A super cute hotel with a nice cosy and warm feeling. The location was fantastic, right in the centre of all the Carmel fun! It is a very safe town and the parking on-site was a great plus. Staff was friendly and chatty! We really loved our stay at Hofsa House and fell in love with Carmel. We will definitely be back!

I was situated by the stairwell so I heard ppl coming and going on the stairs. Nights were peaceful and quiet though, and around 10 AM the housekeepers began cleaning the rooms so it was a bit noisy in the hallway for a couple of hours.

The room was basic hotel room except incl a fridge which was very helpful. It had a nice view of the ocean and bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed the continental breakfasts each morning, set up as grab and go, but the staff were there to greet with a smile and pour coffee for me, which was so nice. Housekeeping service was included in the rate every day, which was an added value, but I chose to have them come in only twice during my 5 night stay. because I was relaxing in my room and didn't want to be disturbed.

Overall great. To be picky, breakfast items are small but nice for a light bite and some of the towels were frayed but not thin.

Beautiful well equipped room with a balcony overlooking the beautiful Carmel coastline. Liked the Tea and coffee facilities and the included breakfast was good and had enough items to choose from. Plenty of free parking

The description of “The Queen Room” reads “One Queen Bed.” I believe it was a full bed and there was a twin next to it.

There was plenty of parking but if you couldn’t get one close to your room, it was a very long trek up and down stairs (because parking lot is below the property).

Close to restaurants, clean, comfortable bed, private balcony, ocean view, big room, big changing area with fridge/coffee maker, nice pool, helpful and kind staff, continental breakfast (coffee/tea, juice, pastries). Beach close but not close enough (8-10 blocks) to walk comfortably (uneven sidewalks and would be all uphill on the return).

Uniqueness of the building. Great neighborhood and location in relation to beach and shopping. Good value.
