Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

A few of the staff behind reception counter did not give a "hospitality vibe". Although our first day there when we arrived, the gentleman behind the reception desk was VERY welcoming, greeting us with a big smile and responding to several of our questions and inquiries. The rest of the stay, there were other staff who were behind the reception desk who didn't smile or acknowledge us when we said hello, especially in the morning or when entering the lobby....left us with an unwelcoming feeling.
Location is great for Cannery Row and Monterey Aquarium

There were only paper cups throughout our 3 day visit. This trip we noticed how layout involves many levels and exterior stairs. But it’s fine once you figure it out.
The location is excellent. Easy to reach and park, then many Monterey destinations are an easy walk.

Beds were uncomfortable. Room was well decorated but needed more adjustable lighting. Overall still a great experience.
Breakfast was great and staff is amazing! Really happy to bring my family here year after year. Love how quiet it is generally and everyone keeps to themselves. Great location and parking!

It was small and the closet was made into a kitchenette which didn't leave much space to hang clothes. The bathroom was big but for a room setup to handle disabilities it still has a short tub when a roll in shower should have been installed.
The service was really good. The staff were always friendly and attentive. The sheets on the bed were soft and in looking for a room in Monterey many we're queen sized, I was happy to find a king bed. It was really close to Cannery Row. Within walking distance.

The property needs a light facelift. The bathroom in room didn’t flush. We fixed on our own because it was midnight and didn’t want to call front desk.
The location! Cannery Row and restaurants are within walking distance. The breakfast is convenient and included coffee; oatmeal; juice; bacon; eggs; sausage. The hot food breakfast menu changed daily.

Hot Tub would have been nice. Not sure if not working or not replaced.
Walking distance to both Cannery Row and to Fisherman's Wharf. Access to the beach. The property had an interesting design to it. Great for getting moving!

This was NOT an accessible room in any way. It has a step in bath in a TINY bathroom. Do not book if you have a wheelchair.

Split level corridors meaning heavy suitcases needed to be lifted up/down stairs, rooms a little dated. Great having breakfast included but very little choice and not keen on having to use plastic disposable cutlery- seems very unfriendly for the environment.

Seemed a little pricey considering no fitness center & no pool. Also was told, if have second night all sheets & comforter will be changed during the day, but it wasn’t, maybe only upon request. But I thought it’s mandatory.

The room had a musty smell to it, we were unsure what it was. It may have been there cleaning products that were being used
Staff were very welcoming. The room was a good size, they also provided Dove products in the bathroom. The breakfast was a good option and the location was excellent for the restaurant's and shops
