Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Room is a bit smelly.. and the air conditioner very loud..
Breakfast was included and pretty nice! They have Dove shampoo and lotion in the room which smell very good. They were also cleaning every day the room. Overall its a very good deal. :-)

everything was good except I had a fraud with booking.com and they hacked me with booking at the hotel but thankful for the General Manager at Holiday Inn who supported and encouraged me to go by my bank and dispute the issue . I don’t understand how booking.com can allow these things to happen with customers I mean fake accounts and people chatting and pretending they are booking.com
The customer service providing by the general manager in this site . He is so professional and supportive.

Not sure if it is the price or weekends in general, but hotel attracts a younger crowd that brings noise at all hours. Otherwise, hotel was quiet and pleasant on weekdays
Staff were professional and inviting. Hotel was in a good location close to all. Rooms were large; bed comfortable. Breakfast was adequate and area was kept clean.

For the price, it needs a little upkeep but that is it.
The staff was amazing. Mr. Irving was the best! I came in late because I was going to stay at a different hotel. The place felt safe, secure parking, and clean.

I didn’t like the add-on charge for parking in the hotel’s on-site lot. It’s not that I didn’t feel the charge was unreasonable–I’m satisfied with the hotel’s decision to include it, given the limited amount of space on the property. However, the charge should have been included with the online booking, or a notice at the time of the online payment could have been present; I should have been prepared to pay it upon check-in/check-out.
The location of this hotel was incredibly convenient. I wish we found it earlier and stayed after our arrival flight landed.

Difficult getting a seat at breakfast, crowded kitchen, toasters really slow. Elevators very slow. Staff commandeering elevators during breakfast is a real no-no, very frustrating.
Food was ok, and plentiful.

The sink was right next to the bed, the barn door which enclosed the shower/commode was loud when sliding and the commode made a loud whistle sound when flushed. NO gluten-free bread/cereal options at breakfast and they were out of bananas for most of our visit. We've stayed at other Holiday Inn Expresses and wish the amenities were consistent.
Located in the business district away from most of the loud noises but very walkable to Canal St and French Market.

Housekeeping missed our room on day 3, which was ok but almost missed it again 4 until we mentioned it and it didn’t get done until after 3pm.
It was close to the event we attended. And there was coffee/tea available. Didn’t get up early enough for breakfast.

One of the staff members was very unprofessional. unfortunately, I don’t remember her name.She check me in. She could not find my reservation and insisted that I did not pay. I called my bank to show proof that I had paid. The clerk was loud and rude. I was so embarrassed. I will never stay at that hotel again.

Room selection was on the front. Too much noise.
Hotel location is within a mile walking distance of Bourbon Street and close to many attractions downtown. The hotel itself is very convenient for quick trips.
