Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

They ran out of wash clothes one day. Would like to see a Belgium waffle maker as a breakfast option.
Location to highway was great. Breakfast was good. Beds were very comfortable. Room and bathroom were clean

The bed was really uncomfortable. Asked for extra pillows the second night which seemed to help! The pool was a bit chilly for me but the kids loved it.
Breakfast was good and had a variety of foods. We were on the first floor which was really convenient when traveling with 2 children. The room was a good size, a bit snug near the end of the bed when you have 4 people in there trying to move around.

Rooms a little small
The rooms were comfortable, a bit small for more than 2 people, not much room to put bags and spread out stuff. However, the beds were comfortable and clean, the room was quiet and the pool was fantastic as it was open until 10pm or so. Missed the breakfast so just went down the road to a place. Staff was pleasant and courteous.

Room too small, bad layout, no sink in bathroom, driveway confusing and inconvenient, pool badly located, small—disappointed because the pool was a main reason we chose this hotel.
Breakfast—Excellent, Room—clean, Bed—comfy, Staff at front desk, in kitchen etc.—kind, friendly, Excellent, Loved the proximity to stores and restaurants! Great that it has an elevator for convenience and accessibility. Liked that the shampoo etc. are refillable and the soap smelled pretty. Liked the free water and ‘snack’ at front desk. Good lighting and outlets.

I could hear my neighbor's alarm going off though which always surprises me when it seems like there's only 10 people staying in the entire hotel and they would put someone immediately next to you. The girl at the front desk was not very friendly

On the downside, seating is very minimal in the breakfast room area. (I believe around 35 places) As a family of 4, we ended up having breakfast in the lobby.
Every employee we encountered was very nice and did everything they could to meet our expectations. The room was clean. The beds were comfy. There was coupons for 10% off at Texas Roadhouse at the check in counter but I ended up forgetting it at the restaurant... Overall very good bang for the buck. The breakfast menu is minimal but decent. It was plenty enough for us.

Our only challenge was an error in billing, at check in, by an employee who didn’t meet the standards of the rest of the staff in customer service. A very helpful morning front desk clerk took over and I am confident this will be corrected.
Clean rooms, comfy bed, friendly staff, Great location. A very good value for the money. Their breakfast selection and quality exceeds any others we’ve had. An overall value for the money. We always do well with Holiday Express.

Only one set of towels for 2 people…too late in the evening to request another set… Disappointed with breakfast…by around 8:15 scrambled egg serving tray was almost empty and wasn’t refilled while we were there …only one butter packet available for toast…(missed having waffles)

There were a couple of stains on the pillow cases/pillows that probably should have been tossed, but they were obviously cleaned. The room is very small. It didn't bother us, but if you're a new couple or staying for a long time, this can be awkward. I think it's perfect for stopovers or business trips.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. It was surprisingly quiet, the location was great for us passing through. They had decent hot breakfast included. Everyone was nice and the price beat all the other hotels with similar amenities. Perfect stay really. Thanks!
