Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Could be a little cheaper, but we were there for an event.
Breakfast was very good. Pool has a nice waterslide and nice hot tub.

At the time of our visit the pool and hot tub were out of order and these were elements we were looking forward too. The television remote was awkward and not properly programed for the television and it's services.
The staff was kind and attentive when we needed assistance. The linens and towels were always clean and pristine as if they were freshly bought and cleaned. The furniture was large and comfortable even for individuals of large stature.

We booked here specifically because it had a hot tub/water park. when we arrived it was under construction and closed. No where online did it state this. For the money, it was very overpriced and price should have reflected the spa/water park being out of order.

Pool wasn't available. Said it was down for maitinance but there was no indication of Maintinace being done. There was a dance competition in town with elementary through high school makes me think they shut it down so they didn’t have to deal with kids. I’ve seen this done before. I was told if I really wanted to use a pool go to the hotel next door and use theirs. Also didn’t appreciate that the internet didn’t work either

Everything was great! Kids have fun on the slide n there was enough pillows for everyone to b comfy plus the pillows were comfy! Breakfast was great as well!

I did not like the pool! The hot tub had to be shut down than the kiddie pool. The slide would get shut off. The pool was small. For the price we paid, I assumed the pool would be much better.
I loved the breakfast! It was fully stocked until the end!

Honestly, there was nothing that we didn't enjoyed about our stay at Holiday Inn Express in Brookings. Our stay far exceeded our expectations and we were even able to bring our dogs which made the stay even more enjoyable. Thank you Holiday Inn Express for helping to make our time in Brookings so enjoyable and refreshing!
The breakfast was served at a time we were able to enjoy it-before our plans for the day were scheduled to begin. Not only did the food look appealing because of the effort put into it, but the breakfast was tasty and satisfying as well!

We stayed in room 221. The room was directly behind the elevator. There was a loud noise every time the elevator went up or down. Not sure how to fix that, maybe don’t put guests in that room.

front desk could not get us checked in- charged my credit card twice. then told me I had one to many rooms so I cancelled one and I really didn’t have enough for my group. girls ended up staying four to a room instead of two in each room. front desk says “don’t use Booking.com we have problems all the time with them”. funny I love booking and never have issues. Then took the money for the room out then put it back into my account. probably will not stay there again.
good location to swiftel center and Applebee’s. did not use the pool

Messed up check in- said I had five rooms we got there and only had four- then charged my credit card twice for the incidental fee- and then charged my card for the room- then ended up returning it. I had booked on Booking.com and they said “they don’t work for us”. Not sure what that was about.
