Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Phone didn’t work in room, guide didn’t work on remote, attendant didn’t replace coffee and cups for second day , breakfast wasn’t as good on Monday morning.

The limited breakfast options for a quick on the go breakfast.

The hallway on our floor desperately in need of vacuuming and the sheets were questionable. The elevator needed a good cleaning.
The staff was excellent. Rachel was truly helpful. She took the time to locate an item I left behind and mail it to me. And, Elizabeth is a wonder at preparing the excellent breakfast served each morning. Professionals!

Bathroom was not swept, breakfast was not so great - they were out of milk so kids couldn’t have cereal, the pancake machine was out of order, juice tasted liked slightly flavored water.

Well, for starters, everything was good until I started checking the room. The housekeeper that supposedly cleaned that room must have been in a rush. The sheets weren't clean, beer and yogurt were left in the fridge, the bathroom was full of hair everywhere, and the floor and shower weren't cleaned properly. Good thing we only stayed there for 1 night. I did go down to let the ladies at the front desk know, and it's a good thing I knew what I was doing because I stripped that whole bed. Mattress pad had a big stain on it, pillowcase cover was stained. And then, to put the cherry on top, we got woken up by a housekeeper before 10, and we had a DND sign on our door...and that wasn't good. But after all that, the bed was comfortable.
I like the location, and the ladies at the front desk were fast and good at checking us in.

Bananas at breakfast!
The breakfast was great! Loved the cinnamon rolls. Food was hot and plentiful. Had never seen a pancake machine before, it was a nice touch. Woman behind the desk at check in filled our room request with no problem.

Our sink in the bathroom, the stopper would not come up so the water remained in there the whole time, after the first night we just tried not to use it. It was reported right away, but there was nobody there to check it and it stayed like that the entire stay. I did not like the breakfast. I got one piece of bacon because that was the only one that wasnt burnt. There was no grits only Oatmeal...We're in the SOUTH. So I tried to make a sandwich, the bread was very hard.
The staff was very kind and professional. The hotel was clean. Bed was comfortable. Over all it was a good Stay

The heat was noisy so I imagine the AC would also be. Had trouble getting comfortable with the blankets on the bed. For a king bed, my feet were over the end.
I liked that everything worked as it should. Wifi was excellent. TV worked well. Easy to set the thermostat. And the breakfast was very good.

Floors of hallways and elevators were really dirty. Not sure if that was light staffing or previous weather. Coffee was exceedingly weak.
Convenient location. Comfortable bed, good breakfast and great shower. Staff was very helpful and friendly!
