BED BUGS! I have delayed review. We stayed December 9-11. Our granddaughter awoke on the last morning to find 71 bed bug bites. Our grandson had 4. We took a bed bug down to the manager and showed her the bites. She asked for pictures, and we provided them. She refunded one night, and told us that bc we had booked through booking.com she could only refund one night but would use the pics to get us the other night refund. At this point everyone was calm and polite. She said we should hear by the end of the week. By the end of the first week in January, I still hadn’t heard anything. I called and left a message. No response, so I called again. Spoke with the manager, who said she would call the next day. She didn’t. I called over the weekend. Spoke to a person who told me he was looking at my account and that I was refunded my money when I checked out. He sent me the receipt, which CLEARLY showed I was refunded for one night and charged for one night. He didn’t know how to read credits and charges. He told me I would have to work it out with the manager. I called on Monday, January 9, and again spoke to Kim. This time Kim told me that she had told me that she would call me when she got a response from corporate. This was said with irritation. But actually, she had told me she would call me the previous Friday, which she did not. It is now January 16…over a month past my stay, and I have gotten no refund. I waited to write my review so I could include their response to our situation. I find their attitude and response abysmal. We had to do all the necessary mitigations to be sure that we did not bring bed bugs into our home or the home of our grandchildren. We were staying for a swim meet, so all parkas and bags were an additional concern. We bought products and steamers to help ensure that we were killing the bugs. But as irritating as the bugs has been the attitude of the hotel management. I highly recommend that you avoid this hotel.

Nice room, clean, good coffee. I was unable to check-in at my pre-planned hotel and went across the street to Holiday Inn. Latoya was awesome!!!! She provided top-notch customer service I’ve received She went above and beyond and was patient every step of the way,. She made sure I was able to get room accommodations that night as well as made sure she sent an email to the 3rd party I booked through so that they wouldn’t charge me. Upon check out, I was greeted by Carla who was also super pleasant! The room was great and very clean.

everything - should have been given options when hotel was water damaged; Rate should have been adjusted because facilities were not up to expectations or promises. Given room far from elevator, which was problem as one of us has difficulty walking.

very little - we asked for room near elevator and good room at end of hall. Half the hotel was experiencing water damage, and we were not informed or given any options upon check in. Breakfast was not in breakfast room because of hotel water damage. location was fine - somewhat hard to get in and out. Parking was fine - close to building. Did not use amenities such as pool or exercise room.

What I didn’t like was the fact that in the room, there were no wash towels or dry towels, no microwave, no dove body wash. And I didn’t like the fact that there was no bacon, provided along with breakfast in the morning, that was a huge disappointment for me. Last thing was how one of the staff members thought it was ok, to have an attitude because I called down and asked if there were any more body wash. when she brought it up to my room, she had the audacity to say that, she don’t usually bring anything up to anybody room and then she left.

Breakfast was cold not always available. Coffee was never made. Pool crazy small and way to HOT. There is very little parking so two times we had to park down the street. That is just to name a few of what is wrong with this place. We left one day early because the stay was bad!

Staff was nice and free Wifi was ok. That is all I can say that is good about this place.

Night 1. TBall teams took over the hotel. Loud noisy and everywhere. They cleaned out the breakfast and left the other guests to wait and wait for some food. Morning 2. No staff showed up until 8 to do breakfast. Concierge lady did her best but we had to go offsite to eat. Morning 3. Kitchen stove apparently malfunctioned. Fire alarm at 7:30 am. Nothing hot after that. Room was $146 a night x 3 nights. I sort of expect some peace and quiet at night, plus something to eat in the morning.

Clean. Staff were nice, courteous. Coffee was very good.

Both of our rooms were lacking in cleanliness- dirty bathroom floors, hair and dirt in showers, etc. There was enough food on the continental breakfast, but everything was lukewarm at best. We didn’t have bedding for our pull-out couch in our room and when we went to the front desk to get it at 10:00pm we were told it was being laundered and they would bring it to our room when it was done. It never showed up.

Breakfast staff were great! It was unfortunate that the pancake and waffle maker was broke. The pool being out of service was a major disappointment for our family. We had to go to a different floor for ice and our room was lacking soap and towels.

After checking out, I realized I left my personal pouch in the bathroom with 6 electric toothbrushes and I called them in. They have advice me to call in the morning since they are still cleaning and nothing was turned in. So I called first thing in the morning and they told me nothing was found! But I know for sure I left them thats why I called right away! Wish they cam handle the calls better than telling me to call back and wait for someone to return them. Those 6 electric toothbrushes are worth more than of my one night stayed in the hotel. I have reservations made coming up again and feels like I want to cancel them since I dont feel my item are not safe in this hotel and staff are not trained to handle calls.

I like the location since its close to the mall and 30 mins away from the lake.

Inconsiderate guests above our room that let their kids run the halls and stomp/jump around. This went on until 11pm. Seems priced high when compared to other nicer hotels. This may be due to the location.

The front desk person was not there to greet us for both stays. We had to wait for someone to show up. Also, the person at the front desk was not friendly, especially on our second stay. She expressed no hospitality whatsoever. There was little or no breakfast available in the morning. In fact, for the second stay we decided to just eat somewhere else. The hallways did not appear to be vacuumed, the shower wasn't clean and the hotel was noisy at night.

The location worked for us. We stayed here because we wanted a short trip to Chicago O'Hare for a flight the next day. Also, we stayed on the way back since our return flight arrived late in the day.

The hotel was dirty in aspects of the stay! Upon arrival we had to call the front desk to have housekeeping come back to the room to sweep the carpet because it had not been done the first time. As the night went in we found more and more dirt and grime that again displayed how unclean it was. We were unable to obtain extra towels during the stay. There were no linens for the pull out couch in the room. Hallway floors had debris all over and the same debris lay in the floor the next morning also. Even after housekeeping had been to our room.

There was not much to like about the location besides the proximity to activities in the area.

The day we arrived the receptionist at the desk had an attitude not friendly & didn’t welcome us at ALL!! Arrived to get in room the cards didn’t work, got in NO REMOTE called the desk the receptionist brought on to the room never the less wrong remote to television did bother to get another because her attitude had stunk so BAD. The day of check out the iron didn’t work no regulator knob on it call for another one she asked for us to come and get it she was by herself we told her NO!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! NEVER THE LESS SAME GIRL WE HAD ON THE DAY WE CHECKED IN!! The morning we checked out she wasn’t friendly at ALL by way I’m thinking her name was KEYONIA!! I was very disappointed we have used this hotel from the time it opened brand new never had this trouble was there approximately a month from this last visit great service and staff VERY DISAPPOINTED!! By the I think work out leggings shouldn’t be part of uniform not professional looking at ALL!!
