Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Hard to think of anything negative ... We've been here 4 times
Desk check in staff Michael was super nice, and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. The breakfast staff ensured everything was stocked, hot and tables were clean. Very well done!

Nothing really.
They offer free breakfast and free shuttle to San Jose airport. If you park in their premises they close the gate at midnight.

We didn’t have refrigerator and microwave first day for some reason but they put them after we mention it. Bathtub or shower was leaking. We couldn’t figure out where it was leaked from.
Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good. Security cameras everywhere and gated parking.

I wanted to take a bath but the drain stopper wasn’t working properly to remain shut to hold bath water. I was surprised the front desk doesn’t have any complimentary incidental items to offer by request. I need some pain medication/ Tylenol or other. When I stayed at a hotel and needed dental floss , I was able to get some from the hotel.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. It had what you basically need.

The bldg is old. Mis-matched furniture. Ancient drapes & old wallpaper. Corporate needs to update this location.

my tv did not work until they had to replace the box the next day and my last night the toilet flooded at 3:00am!
I liked the modernization of the room the space and set-up! Also the securing of the property was tight! The location was decent. Great breakfast!!

I would have liked the gym to open before 6 because I wake up at 5 for exercise. Now I had to run in the dark outside the hotel.
The room was clean and I liked that I was able to open the window for fresh air during the night. Quite comfortable bed also.

See previous question. I booked this hotel because it provided shuttle bus service to the airport. However the hours the shuttle operates does not support early morning flights (6:30am). I didn’t ask the right question when I called to verify service.
The breakfast does not accommodate none pork or beef eaters. The overall food selection was of low end quality. The hallway to my room on the third floor was dimly lit and not welcoming. The room was dusty but the bathroom was very clean.

There was a lot of noise from the room above us and it made it difficult to sleep through the night.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the rooms were very nice and clean.

Great value for money. Excellent room. Much larger than I expected. Breakfast was also much nicer than what u have come to expect from the hotels in the US. Very neat and clean. Carpet in the hotel was clean and not run down or dirty as i have noticed in some other properties in the past.

The room had an odd smell and was a bit run down. It was clean but just didn’t have that ‘deep cleaned’ feeling.
The breakfast was wonderful with a wide variety of options. The staff was friendly and attentive. The room also had a microwave and mini fridge.

Area is a little bit sketchy, especially at night. Not a lot going on in the area restaurant-wise, but there's a pretty good teppanyaki place a couple blocks away and some other serviceable options within a couple of blocks.
Spacious rooms, close to airport, decent breakfast. A couple blocks from the streetcar which can take you to places with more going on.
