It’s an old building. Rooms did not feel clean. Our toilet wouldn’t flush when we first arrived but the staff fixed it for us. Also the hot tub was broken. Breakfast also was mediocre.

Who was a little bit dated inside the rooms and in the common areas

Property was clean, and a very good value for the area. I was surprised how quiet it was overall. The breakfast was much better than expected. I’d recommend it.

The hallway carpets were very dirty, the elevator made weird sounds that didn’t make us feel very comfortable, and you had to pay an extra $16/day for parking (very inconvenient).

The location was great, 10-15 minutes walking distance to the beach and lots of great restaurants downtown Solana. We discovered our new favorite Thai Restaurant just a 3 minute walk away! The room was big enough for us to sleep and lounge around between activities. The linen was clean, the entryway with its Christmas decor was a very nice touch, and I liked that there was a hot tub. The breakfast was a nice bonus, not amazing but definitely doable.

The hallways' carpet was worn out. The hallways and common areas were not updated and that made the hotel look older and dirty. I believe they are going to update the hotel in the next few weeks, though.

Breakfast, room and location. I really liked our suite, we first got a regular room but it didn't have enough storage space for a week stay. Breakfast is very good too. I brough my own GF bread and I was set. Nice selection of GF options other than that.

The view was of a dirty lot, trash everywhere, we paid extra for a room with a balcony and view. Not worth it at all. The bed springs were broken, and the bed was loud and very uncomfortable.

The breakfast was great. The staff was nice. The carpet was dirty and stained throughout the hotel.

Room had slight odor of floral type cleaner and felt a bit humid. When we turned on heat the fan spewed out dust and burnt dust smell. One of staff members was curt; other two were friendly. Suggest adding whole grain bread option and non-sugar yogurt.

Location near beach is great. Room was quiet. Breakfast was full option. Price was good for location. Pool area had ample seating and places to visit with friends.

If you turned the tv off in our room you could work it again because it disconnected the Wi-Fi and you’d have to call the front desk to send someone to fix it. Also, we have a baby and the refrigerator didn’t work. Didn’t realize it until morning when the milk I bought the night before wasn’t cold. Also the curtains are sheer only. The other curtains don’t close they are only decorative. Everything could have been a bit cleaner.

The location was great and overall it was good for the price. Some minor changes could make it much better. The breakfast was pretty good too. I’ve had better and I’ve had worse.

The curtains didn't close and there is a power station right outside. I had light glaring into my eyes all night. You can hear the cars from the Freeway.

The room was clean plus the bed and pillows were super comfortable. The breakfast location was a really nice area--spacious, with a high ceiling and very inviting. It had one big group table that was cool. Would make a good family game table as well during non-breakfast hours. I didn't have time to eat, so I actually don't know what breakfast tasted like. The location was excellent. You can walk to the beach. It's literally around the corner. There is also a good Italian restaurant literally steps away.

The decor is really sad and dated (dark brown, dark carpets..). Too much disposable plastic.

The location is fantastic. The breakfast was good but served in too much disposable plastic items. Beds were comfy.

They didn’t have curtains that blocked light- only the white thin ones. The refrigerator was noisy, so I unplugged it. They took $75 for incidentals upon checkin. That’s the first time a Holiday Inn charged me this type of deposit. The people in the checkin desks were not friendly- both the evening and morning ones.

For breakfast, they had salsa, walnuts, 2 types of eggs, potatoes, unsweetened almond milk, the cream for the waffles was piped nicely in curls.

Extra $19 dollars parking not indicated in booking. No Del Mar shuttle or advice.

Close to Del Mar racetrack and right on the 101. Comfortable rooms and safe parking area. Pretty clean and nice staff at desk. Lots of shops and such within walking distance.
