Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Ver nice second suite and amazing breakfast. Alice from Argentina is fabulous!
The front desk was ok not overly friendly, but I guess that's NYC for you. However, I was put in a first floor room that smelled of cigarette and immediately when I went back to the front desk, the young man relocated us to a wonderful extended suite on the 5th floor with a separate conference room with a kitchenette although not equipped with even a spoon....

The options for the meat could have been better overall breakfast was fine.

The front desk staff was so accommodating. She had calls coming in, guests coming in, next shift staff calling out for their shift. The poor lady had to work a double and she always remained professional and kind. She needs to be recognized for going above and beyond. The shuttle service to LGA was a plus. The room was very clean snd loved the dove products

- There was a kitchen in the room, but no utensils or other accessories - Breakfast is good, but the variety is small and it gets boring soon - There is a water fountain for bottles in the gym, but it requires maintenance, the filter needs to be replaced

The only issue I have is that I when I requested an early check in at 10 am, the request was communicated as granted by the hotel through booking.com. When I arrived, the clerk tried to tell me it wasn't issued and they were booked and people had extended their stay. She then asked if I was an IHG member. I said yes. At that time she said well I get it, you were trying to save money by using Booking.com but it's not going to guarantee you anything and you forfeited all your IHG membership perks. I was tired but I was completely put off because I was not looking for that. I just wanted to get checked in after not sleeping for 24 hours. She then looked and said well I can get you checked in but they didn't charge you the $86 it would cost. Again, I was too tired to debate in a lobby full of guests but I wasn't made aware of an extra cost. I had no problem paying it however, in my opinion, the clerk's delivery was not professional.
I appreciated the shuttle and not being so close to the noise of the airport. Also, the location was not far from the venue we were to attend during our visit.

I was not aware I had to pay for parking. When I checked in I was told of the $40 parking fee. My credit card was charged $340 for 1nite stay. I was expecting $179 + $40. They told me the remainder was deposit fee. My card charges has not changed.

No complaints!!
The breakfast was very good. The attendant on duty kept things clean and well stocked. I’d rate it above average for hotels in the area. The room was made up every day. That was a nice change from our previous stay in July 2023. Having two working elevators was also a bonus as compared to our July stay.

There were two staff members at the front desk who were clearly pissed off at each other and their attitudes were not so great. There was an elderly lady who was very helpful, but check in took over 20 minutes and I was the only person there.
There's nothing to dislike about the hotel itself at that time because it was brand new and everything seemed untouched. I don't know how it will be in one year as I assume the traffic through there will be consistent and heavy.

Everything was fine.
Great room with seperate living space from bedrooms. Great breakfast bagels sausages, eggs and fresh pancakes. Approx 10 min walk to subway into central Manhatten.

If I had to knit pick it would be that housekeeping was lacking other than 1 day. The coffee machine didn't seem to work properly and the coffee int he breakfast area didn't seem as strong as I needed it.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice with enough storage, the bathroom was spacious. There was a safety deposit and enough sockets for all my items. The breakfast was nice and interesting, always topped up. The restaurant are was spacious and nicely decorated for the festive time. There was storage to store my cases while I was able to make my last day in the city rather than paying for storage.

The room was on level -1, with a Window to the floor of the street. On the second night they put a hold for 500 usd on my Credit card even though our stay was already paid for, without telling me. They told me it was made by mistake, but still have to wait up to a week for it to be released.
