Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Really bad experience with the front office person. Check in time mentioned on the hotel site is 4pm and we reached the property at 6:30pm still we were not allotted the rooms stating that the rooms are not ready yet. I was traveling with my old parents and had to wait in lobby for another 1 hour for the rooms to get ready. The front office person instead of being apologetic and accepting their fault was very rude and mentioned that housekeeping is not their responsibility and she do not know when the rooms will be ready, seriously if housekeeping is not hotel’s responsibility then whose responsibility it is. If 4 pm is check in time and the rooms are not ready till 6:30pm then whose failure it is and why the customer has to suffer for it and also bear the rudeness of the front office person as if I am staying in the hotel for free. The way she behaved was not at all acceptable and on being ask for the manager she said the manager is not available. Can someone please mention that where the customer was wrong?

Didn't appreciate the weed smell in the hallways, two elevators were broken, so we were in the stairwell a lot.
Nice place, good walking distance to many locations. Price was a bit high, but it's on par with other hotels in that area.

The valet service was not the best. They did mess my car up and now I have to get it fixed.
The manager Paris was so accommodating to our football players and giving us a space to sit and have team meetings and bonding time

They had 1/3 working elevators. They others were out of service for over a month. Breakfast was low quality, few options. Snacks in lobby were extremely expensive.
The room was clean and updated. It had a microwave and refrigerator which was necessary for us. Safeway grocery was close and a couple of good coffee shops.

Only 1 elevator was working. The 2 elevators we don't know if it wasn't working or for housekeeping staff used. Elevators not labeled if out of service. We have to use the stairs to go up and down to our rooms to avoid long wait for the availability of the elevator

It was all sweet. The people will most certainly make the people welcome. I did not like it when the people did not appreciate or pay attention to the kind warm words being spoken by your breakfast manager.
Need some rice to be added for breakfast. The lead that spoke to welcome us and set us up for the day was awesome. It was a different feeling due to his wise advice to commence our day every day at breakfast.

I had to pay a deposit when I arrived and 2 weeks later it has still not been reimbursed back to my card!

I didn't like the fact that they sold the Rooms with Breakfast but when I got there they told us there is no breakfast. It is difficult to find another room in Dec 25th. The staff was very relax..if you don't like, just leave. I was not the only one complaining...there were no Shampoo/shower gel (only if you requested at the reception)..I think the staff was a little bit tired or they simple don't care about their clients. I was lucky Booking returned me part of the amount I paid.
I linked the hotel that was clean, room is modern, new, good location for the money.

No breakfast included and was still being advertised as included, check in was an hour late, issues with clerk locating the reservation, charged $100 damage deposit per room instead of $50 as reservation stated. These were big , costly issues considering we had 14 people in our party and 4 rooms.
