Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Staff was super friendly and accommodating. We were greeted by Michelle and Wanda at the front desk. They helped us get checked in and acomedated us by getting us 2 rooms on the same floor. Mr. Robert's was the security guard. He had a welcoming personality. Very easygoing, and we were all joking and laughing. They made us all feel at home with the laughter.

The floors could be a little bit cleaner. The pull out bed is not comfortable at all. We took turns of who had a bad night sleep on the pull out bed.
Breakfast was really good. Room was very spacious. Checkers and McDonalds just across the street. No trouble getting Uber or Lyft here. Beds are really comfortable.

The breakfast was very mediocre. Food was cold. Coffee was cold. The toaster only took 2 slices of bread although it was a 4slice toaster.

Poor breakfast! Ran out of things before the breakfast time listed was done. Manager should be able to know how much they’re going to need for the week by the reservations they have. No OJ? No fresh fruit?
This is a Hotel with PLENTY OF PARKING! Just because other properties are collecting money for parking doesn’t mean this Hotel with plenty if it’s own parking avail. Should charge to park!! Hell we’re already paying for parking everywhere downtown.

Nothing was a problem at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was nothing extra that we needed.
Staying in the heart of any major city has become very expensive indeed, so finding a good hotel that's just a short taxi-ride away and that is much better value allowed us to have a great holiday in Washington DC. We had a big bedroom, a huge king-size bed and a well equipped and clean bathroom. Start the day with the included cooked breakfast and you're fixed up for a day's exploring in the capital.

Breakfast and specially the reception staff lady. I got in early at the hotel and requested if I could get checked in early if possible but she made sure she doesn’t give me early checkin wherein there were soo many people who had left early morning and checking out and when asked she said rooms are not empty and only gave us the room by 2-2:30pm, wherein we were waiting at the hotel since 7am in the lobby.
Hotel room were massive and very comfortable and overall hotel was really good but the breakfast was very limited with no option to choose from I would rate the breakfast 2/10.

We had some trouble with the key cards working but managed to get by.
The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Parking was easy and close to the front door. The staff was excellent! Helpful, friendly and willing to go out of their way to make our experience great. A+

Having to pay for parking and the breakfast was not consistent. I was told on the weekend there would be waffles. One day there were no waffles and only one sausage.

The free breakfast was awful. The two days that we went there, they ran out of eggs for scrambled eggs. They ran out of orange juice & only two slots of a four slot toaster worked. This is a large hotel & to run out of eggs & orange juice & probably other items is unacceptable. Someone dropped the ball on taking inventory & checking with the front desk how many guests there will be each day. This needs to be addressed sooner than later.
The hotel & room were very clean. The staff was friendly. Great location to get into DC. It was very quiet at night.

Parking but I was feeling some type of way having to pay for parking at were I am staying. This is my first seeing this at this type hotel when you don’t have a valet parking.
