The restaurant needs more staff. People have to wait a long time for service. Breakfast buffet food was cold.

I was charged twice for one day . I brought it to their attention and they told me that booking owed me $89. But every time we paid we paid directly to the hotel. I feel I'm old I had a $89 or a free stay. Since all the charges were done on debit card I can show proof between my car and Leigh Vojtech s statements.

The outrageous parking fee and pet fee. We were moving our daughter to college and had two cars. $18 dollars per car per night when there was ample parking seemed a bit much. I have stayed a several hotels and they usually charge between $50 and $100 for the dog fee. $200 non-refundable was too much. I should have called to ask before getting there.

Pool was being worked on. Our room had a very squeaky bathroom door. The floor in the shower sounded like it would crack. Just little thing. I do know they are in the midst of remodeling.

For the price I paid, I would have included breakfast and have a location a bit closer to the fort. It was walkable by some, and by me, but probably not by a young family.

Was charged for $18/night parking fee on second room for our friends that did not even have a car. We told the attendant when we checked in and was assured it would be removed. Sat for an hour to get our order for breakfast Sunday morning and left before food arrived. Very dissatisfied. Again, was told there would be an adjustment... not. As an IHG member, we should not have to pay for parking.

Kind of pricey.

The location was within walking distance to many attractions. When walking, you notice a lot of things that you wouldn’t notice driving by car. Stopped at a quaint cafe which was wonderful.

The room was very clean! I really liked the pleasant smell when we entered the room. The mattress (queen bed) was very comfortable, and the sheets were white, clean, and very soft! There were two different pillows (soft and firm) provided. The AC was new. Breakfast was pretty good, but it's not free ($14). Additionally, there is a parking fee of ($20) per day. The location is very good - not far from the city center. I will definitely stay again!

While the hotel is not too far from the historic part of the city, the route towards it isn't stroller/wheelchair friendly.

The “historic” part of the hotel name does not only describe the location but the age of the building as well. However, the facilities are well maintained so it is not a big deal.

Helena at front desk went above and beyond helping during a holiday weekend 86 year old fell ended up emergency surgery she helped us with room and extending with unknown time for getting released from hospital. we were at the Hilton and just bad communication with manage made us feel we had to pack up move. made a nightmare experience better.

I'd had a less than ideal experience during my stay and was frustrated that the staff wasn't helpful. Later, I got a phone call from the new property manager and resolved my experience in a way that worked for both of us. I appreciate the personal outreach and understand that things happen out of our control, but his offering a solution to fix what could be fixed. Now I recommend the property! Good service goes a long way.

Some things in the room - one light didn't work, bedside drawer didn't stay closed, window curtain broken. Door key card was problematic.

The pool, hot tub, lobby were very nice. Food was pretty good. Clean.

The price was absolutely too high. The bathroom toilet broke twice during our stay, and paying extra for things like nightly parking and breakfast when those items are usually included in standard hotel stays was in poor taste in my opinion.

Quality of the room, space, location of the hotel and most importantly the staff. The staff were outstanding in helping me and being very friendly.

The layout of the room makes it very difficult to maneuver the luggage cart in the room and load or unload it. No USB ports anywhere in the room?! Very odd smell in the room even after we sprayed air freshener. The bed squeaked and groaned every time you moved. We were afraid it would wake up the neighbors.

Shower stall was a nice size, but hardly any water pressure. The bathroom in general was spacious.
