Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I did not like the coffee that was in the room, it was watery and had no effect for energy.
The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I appreciated the refrigerator in the room, and it was a nice size TV. Room was not huge but getting the room that had the sofa made it seem more like home. Loved the shower and showerhead, it was an excellent value. The customer service I received was phenomenal, one lady at the counter helped me multiple times with any issues I had. If you have any questions about anything in your room, I recommend asking the front desk, they were amazing!

Styrofoam plates and small flimsy plastic utensils. Hotel was a little difficult to find.
Nice size room, breakfast and courteous staff. The price was right, especially for this time of year. Coffee was excellent!

Milk in cartons would of been nice. A bit more variety. You get what you pay for though.

The bed and pillows were so uncomfortable that good sleep was unattainable.

I needed a cart for my stuff. They have a ramp off to the side and stairs in the front. You can’t go straight out the front door.
Breakfast was great! Otherwise awesome stay. Bed & pillows were awesome!

We are early risers The neighbors on both nights were loud. Almost to the point of asking for a different room. Some cleaning issues

It has snowed and the parking lot was in very bad condition. It was like a sheet of ice and crusty snow and very unpleasant to walk on. Our room was not made up after the first night. I spoke with the front desk and was told we had to stay 3 nights before we would get new towels, trash emptied, etc. I may have missed it, but I did not see that posted anywhere at check in or in the room.

The breakfast was not palatable. Whoever cooked the potatoes and bacon does not need to be on the kitchen. During our stay we ate at DeBoer's and The Windmill, both have delicious food.
I liked the proximity to the highway, shops, the beach, and Big Red. The room was very clean and we liked being on the first floor. *This was a return visit to Country Inn & Suites in Holland.

Overall everything was fine. It could use some updating. Minor things like peeling wallpaper.
The breakfast was good. There was a good variety. The pool was nice. It's a nice central location. Lots of restaurants and shopping within a short distance. It was quiet.

There was a little bit of mold in the caulking of the tub. Hidden at the bottom of the main panel, so it probably doesn't get noticed.
Clean room, central location, breakfast had several options.

Very noisy, you could hear conversations from the neighboring rooms & hallway easily. Breakfast provided was just so so. Hotel is dated but was fairly clean. Beds were lumpy, and bathroom sink drained very slowly.
