To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThere wasn't anything not to like here. Great location close to several restaurants and attractions. Top Golf, Levis Stadium, Great America all a short ride away.
The location is good. The facilities are clean and and well maintained. Hilton does your room key on their app so check in and check out was easy didn't have to wait to get to my room. Also was able to pick my room from the app. Room was modern and clean.

I read through the questions on booking.com and the hotel clearly answered a question from a previous person who asked if they charged for parking and the person who replied on behalf of the hotel said “parking is complimentary for guest” clearly the 15 dollars charged on my credit card per day says otherwise…

United States of AmericaThe older (w/foreign accent) security guard who was friendly but approached us and walked in uncomfortably close proximity to us (literally right next to us) in the dark parking lot at close to midnight as we were returning back from Taylor Swift concert to show us something on his phone. It may have been genuine and innocent but this day and age with so many bad things that happen every day…no man should be approaching women in parking lots especially at night. It actually made us very nervous and scared although I’m sure those were not his intentions.
