The system went down at check in and took about 25 minutes to get back up in order for me to check in. The employees were kind and worked to get it back, but no compensation other than an offer for water. Elevator wasn’t working on departure.. so farther to carry items as there was no cart available either.

Nice property. Our room was comfortable. The ice maker was loud in the refrigerator and the ice maker didn’t produce much ice. The sofa was a bit worn. Though a well used hotel, still very nice and clean.

Our suite had an unfortunate situation with water residual from a past occurrence. The staff attempted to rectify the problem, and upon realizing that they couldn't, moved us to another suite. We were very happy with the 2nd location.

The staff was very accommodating. The breakfast offered a large variety from fruits to pastries, hash browns, eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, waffles ...

The MANNER in which the Front Desk staff handled my Check-in fees. When I initially made my reservation SEVERAL months ago, I read the Hotel Policy, and Fee sections VERY carefully before I reserved my room. I was checking to see if there was a Deposit or and Incidental Fee required up front in addition to the charge for my Room and applicable taxes. There was NO STIPULATION on either the Booking.com website or on the Homewood Suites website regarding an Incidental Fee or Deposit. Yet when I arrived at the hotel, and during my Check-In, I was told by the young, white lady who checked me in that there was a $100.00 Incidental Fee that would be charged to the Debit card I used to pay for my room in addition to the charge for the Room and taxes. I explained to the young lady that there was NO STIPULATION about an Incidental Fee or Deposit being required at check in on either the booking.com website or the Hotel's website. So I asked to speak to the Manager. I was then referred to Adrian Claybrooks, Front Office Manager, I explained to Mr. Claybrooks that since I DIDN't expect to pay a $!00 Incidental/Deposit Fee. or at most ONLY the $20.00 Deposit fee that the young, black man who I'd spoken with when I'd called the Hotel several weeks previous to my arrival had said that I would be charged, that I DID NOT have enough money in my Checkings account to cover the $!00 Incidental Fee. I asked Mr. C;laybrooks if he could possible waive the $100.00 fee and he said, "NO." So because Mr. Claybrook, who checked me in on 5/12/23, charged my Checkings account ($371.14, for Room cost plus taxes, and the additional $100.00 Incidental Fee, my Checkings account, as I am writing this on Monday 5/15, is CURRENTLY OVERDRAWN by $74.55. I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ENOUGH MONEY LEFT IN MY ACCOUNT TO GET A CAB FROM THE HOTEL TO THE GREYHOUND BUS TERMINAL ON 5/14/23 to get back home to NC!!

The breakfast was DELICIOUS and offered variety each morning. The food was well prepared and always plentiful. The Apple Juice was the best I've every tasted. The cook and kitchen staff were friendly, accommodating and courteous. Always served the guest with a smile.

Everything was fine. We had no issues.

I liked how helpful the staff for the diner was. I needed a tray to carry food to my room, and there weren't any. The lady there gave me a cookie display tray to use on my word that I'd bring it back. I was sad I couldn't hand it to her directly when I brought it back.

I had about 7 pincher bugs that I found throughout my stay in my room that I had to kill. Glasses in the cupboard were dirty, and their weren't enough blankets in room for the pullout sofa.

Never stayed at Hilton Homewood suites…this one needs UPDATING,! Couches and beds need replacing ,decor is old, paint needed on all wood trim. Plumbing pipes behind the wall is noisy when runny hot water. Breakfast selection was limited…

My room looked like it wasn't stayed in or cleaned recently. Layer of dust on everything. Two 'stink' bugs in my room. Bathroom sink drain was VERY slow and definitely needed to be unclogged.

Elevators only at one end of building……extremely long walk from elevator to room. Shower grab bar and sliding glass door has only 18 inches wide space to maneuver in.
